Did anyone else notice Giordano give Mcdavid a little love tap like "good try, kid" in the 2nd. What was with that????? And then Backlund in the 3rd hit Mcdavid then looked back with the expression, "oh NO! What have I done!!!". Flames wont win until they start playing this guy tougher, way to much respect for him and his 15 goals.

I think some what some of you don't understand is there is some grey here not just black and white. Nobody is happy to lose 4 in a row or lose to the Oilers but bigger picture.

3rd in the division, right behind 2nd

And if you are gonna lose 4 in a row OT/SO is the way to do it.

I think Steinberg has it right, Janko is in a dip as there is an adjustment to the grind of an NHL schedule. Even with all the breaks, he's still gotta get used to the grind. Monahan dipped in his first year too.

There are few words to describe how that game felt.

The powerplay... listless. The collapse... languid. The overtime... manhandled. The shootout loss... inevitable.

This level of consistency is theoretically admirable, but it's actually quite appalling. Gulutzan and his staff should be thoroughly embarrassed at how deleterious their player usage is to their record, statistical and overall. It's frankly insulting to watch.

I have no interest in continuing to watch such filth. It's sickening and maddening. The fact that they consistently squander such glowing chances as the ones they're presented on a silver platter should be totally mortifying to them. They should hang their heads in shame, fully-deserved shame.

That was utterly woeful.

I think they are practicing PP too much that in real game they thinking too much. I remember McKeenan never practiced PP but it worked better than this.

Jankowski has been unlucky lately too which doesn't help Bennett, but he hasn't looked good.

Could we get stone for Bennett and brodie?

Unless they get rid of Cameron, it's no better than me going to the driving range and getting good at being a horrible golfer. Practicing the wrong things just makes you worse. I'd almost prefer they don't practice and just let them free wheel for a few games. Can't be worse!

I think it's easy to bash the coaches for the pp, but Im getting to the point where I just feel that they have a personel issue.

The entire pp goes thru Gaudreau at the left boards after gaining entry. Having the puck on his stick the majority of the time is kind of problematic given that his shot isn't really a threat. On top of that, there's literally no one timer threat anywhere. I literally have zero idea what set plays this team is hoping to execute on the pp. It looks like there's a game plan for zone entry and getting set up (ie. Puck on Gaudreau's stick on the left wall) but after that it's a completely adhoc process.
