Supreme court ruled that access to meds is a right, It's discrimination to boot someone for that.
So you're not a nice human if you don't disclose your personal health info? If you were growing would you tell people? I wouldn't.

Well I mean, old people do smoke. Smoking is fun. And grannies likely own their own houses anyway. And even if they don't, grannies have earned the right to say '#### you' and smoke in peace.

There's something sociable about rolling the perfect doob. The anticipation of grinding it, getting 'just' the right out and rolling a smooth, perfectly shaped joint before lighting it up before sharing it in the circle.

I think this whenever I cut through Olympic Plaza and that familiar waft goes up my nose. Like there's a big police van parked RIGHT THERE, why are you smoking it and not vaping?? It's like they want to get busted...which given the types I see doing it there in the middle of the day, they look like the type where "street cred" is very much an important factor in their lives. Getting hassled is probably cool to them in front of their crew.
I use it for insomnia sometimes, and in December I accidentally dropped my vape and broke it, had to wait almost a month to get my new replacement one sent from Florida. Hadn't smoked it in forever, I forgot how much harsher and stinkier it is like that! No WAY you can do it like that in the house, lingers for days (which sucked, as I broke it literally right as that extended -30 cold snap began). I can't even do it like that anymore I realized.
EDIT: looking at this on Tapatalk, I have no idea why the last part of this goes all small and grey...nor do I know how to fix it via Tapatalk. That's...odd

Woooaahhhhh, you just blew my mind dude! Is this real life?
Haha weird, on Tapatalk (at least on my phone), everything after "Florida" is half the size of everything before it, light grey, and italicized. I don't get it. Good to know it's just on my end, glad I brought it up now lol..

Similar to wines, scotches, and other alcoholic beverages, each strain of weed is different. They all have their own characteristics, smells, tastes etc. And if you're a connoisseur, you appreciate the little differences.
Fire is cool. Burning stuff is fun. Smoke itself is very aesthetically pleasing to look at. It's a uniquely satisfying experience, to take the first pull off fresh bowl. Myself, I take comfort in the simple pleasure of having a bowl on my balcony.
Vaping is tremendously convenient. It's far less satisfying. I've had half a dozen different 'flavors' of concentrates and find them to be virtually indistinguishable.
Edibles are an inconsistent high, when they do kick in they're often far longer experiences than I'm interested in having. Ditto for edible oils - getting high off that is such a roll of the dice (my opinion). It also takes 45-90 minutes or more for them to kick in. And I have the time and inclination to be high now lol.
My girlfriend and I went to the New Year's game, and had probably 100 mg of THC drops each. We took them during the first period, and it wasn't until we got home at 1130 that either of us began to notice anything. And while that's extreme, there have been times where oil has taken 2+ hours, or never at all.
Tldr; smoking isn't for everyone, but I like it. It smells like what it smells like, and until we ban diesel engines and farting in public, it's something folks will learn to live with.

I don't smoke or do drugs, I don't care who does as long as it's not affecting anyone else. I don't really come in this thread but I just got new neighbours who smoke a lot of pot and they do it outside. I play outside with my 4 year old all the time and now I really can't because I don't want my son exposed to that. I've tried to say something to them and they just flat out don't care. I know most people who smoke aren't like this but this is a big issue for me, it's bad enough that non smokers are forced to walk through areas where people smoke all the time but now it's going to be pot smoke and for someone who doesn't do drugs at all, it affects me and I don't like the feeling and don't want my 4 year old son to feel that way.
I don't know any of the rules that are going to be going with this but I really hope there's some kind of rule or law that forces people to smoke inside.

I find that the different aromas of each strain are far easier to appreciate when vaping instead of burning, but I'm specifically talking about vaping dry herb. I've never bothered vaping concentrates.

most of you are talking about the enjoyment of smoking pot over other delivery systems, and smoking to get high.
in the context of non smoking buildings and medicinal pot, I still don't see any argument for why smoking pot would be ok in a non smoking building. especially the argument of it as a human rights issue.
and for you people that love to get high, don't forget many medicinal users use strains where they choose NOT to get high. it's not always about getting a buzz when talking about pot.

Casually ask them who their licensed producer is, if they aren’t getting it from an LP then what they are doing is illegal. In which case you have options

I highly doubt people will ever have the right to smoke cannabis indoors, simply due to the fact that their are other available methods to consume it.

A law telling people they can't smoke in their own backyard, that will never (and should never) happen

I have a prescription for stress but I don't need it very often. I use a pax vape. My wife doesn't allow it in the house but I'm sneaky and it's too cold to go outside in the winter.
She doesn't suspect a thing as long as I put the vape in a sealed zip lock bag immediately after. The smell is gone almost immediately through vaping.
The high seems less intense than smoking, but that's fine with me. I don't particular like the feeling of being super stoned. I like a mellow and focused sativa.

all I really want when it is legal, is for pot smokers respect the non smoking rules.
but it's never going to happen.
I go to a festival, I would want to pot smokers to go to the smoking section with the cig smokers. not light up wherever they want.
I would want the ushers at rock concert stop the pot smoking like they used to with cigarette smokers.
want you to not take a toke next to me on the train platform when waiting for the train.
want you to not smoke a joint in the bar bathroom when it's cold outside.
that's all, just respect the bylaws about smoking, no matter what you smoke.
I know it's too much to ask, but I could put up with most everything else.

I’m not a marriage councillor or anything, but do you really think hiding drug use(even if it’s legal) behind your wife’s back when you know she wouldn’t approve is either a) a good idea or b) not going to end up with her figuring it out anyways?

I swear I'm not kidding here, but it sounds like you'd benefit from smoking a bowl.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. I actually find the vape high to be more energetic and highly functioning, though this may be all in my own head. That month when I was actually having to smoke it, I felt so much more "couch locked" and lazy; your classic "pothead" symptoms (which is perfect when using it for insomnia. But I have digestive issues too, I don't want to feel like that unless it's bedtime). I actually had forgotten what that felt like. Vaping just feels like a cleaner high in general to me.
Yeah I really couldn't go back to smoking it again...save for being at a party or something, when someone else has rolled one.
