Oh how times have changed. 2 seasons go, it was pure dominance on the part of the Flames. Oilers were still a toilet bowl team, but you could always count on a Flames win.

Now....now it's the Oilers expecting a win. Not only that, but they are extremely smug about it even after a decade of dominance.

That abso-####ing-lutely has to stop. Tonight.

My 2 biggest Flames' pet peeves are the Honda Center curse, and this whole losing to Edmonton during the McDavid Era.

CP is gonna be ugly if the Flames lose. Normally I avoid making negatives posts and somewhat enjoy the drama the unfolds. But it's gonna be real bad if we lose this one.

I miss the ol' 9-1 drubbing on the Oilers 3 seasons ago. The Oiler fan's chanting ''make it 10!". The jersey tosses. The booing non stop.

Please God Jesus bring that back tonight. Please let Rittich be the one who finally silences the crowd. Please let the Oilers historically worse 55% PK at home pay fruition for the Flames.

Seriously, if the Flames can't score a god damn PP goal tonight vs a PK that pretty much gives up a goal 1/2 the time, then the PP is truly hopeless for the rest of the season. And heads better roll.

Win the BoA tonight Flames. F'ing win it.

For me, if the Flames lose this game they are not making the playoffs. Considering everything that hasn't gone right against the Oilers the last year or so, they should be out for blood.

I'm nervous because we seem to be the Greasers' "slump buster" the past couple seasons. No matter how poorly they're playing coming into the BoA, we always get their A game, and then they parlay that confidence from it afterwards into an extended winning streak. I really, really don't want to see that happen tonight. Please just get the W Flames, don't let these greasy losers become your next Anaheim.

...though an extended Oilers W streak wouldn't be the end of the world. They've been so awful I'm legit scared they're going to end up with a top 5 pick again. I want them to be awful, but not THAT awful. They've got losing down to a fine science, it's impressive.

I am perplexed how a team that has a clear 12 point lead over the other plays so timid. So much so the local board has (justified) anxiety all over it. I would understand if this was the Ducks, as they ice good teams each year.

Yes this team causing so much anxiety is in danger of sliding into 28th place by the weekend.

Just totally perplexes me.
