I though Mangiapane was more noticiable than Hrivik. If Hrvik plays tomorrow I have to wonder if Mangiapane is maybe not having great practices.

Some decisions have been great but nooooooo logic in that one, whatsoever.
And now they're loyal to this dude despite game after game of absolute suckage and minimal adjustment. What gives. Does DC have copies of someone's naughty photos?

Offense to DC, he's trash.

If Backlund walks, you throw everything and the kitchen sink at Tavares.
If Backlund signs..

So does Jobu get his own stall again tomorrow night? We haven't beaten Edmonton in 6 games, and the PP/offence could definitely use some extra mojo.

Flames need the points, especially against division rivals. I know it's hard for some to wrap their heads around this but the overall record is what matters.

You can tell it's coming though. These past oh, I wanna say five games he's been generating really good chances consistently.
I feel it's only a matter of time. I'm gonna say three games from now and he's gonna score ten by the time the season is out.
It's all about the confidence and I'm seeing it grow.
|
He has to lose the hands of stone first. I'll say he scores 7 when the season's done. I'm trying to be optimistic
Maybe 7...or less.

That is not correct.
Gaudreau cost that game with a bad play late. Late in the game, you must always make the safe, smart play.
Recall LA is the best third period team in the NHL.

I dislike losing, but I'll accept a season like this one.

This is a good take.

It was weird how Brodie and Backlund both just forfeited possession of the puck in OT and there was also an unwarranted icing. Not saying the team has been instructed to play different in OT but they have been lacking the aggressiveness that used to separate them from other teams.

“Give the puck to Johnny” is not an effective offensive strategy, Gully.
This team’s lack of offence is painful, and it’s going to continue to cost us.
Also, fix the PP. Moving it to the point for stationary point shots that don’t get through is not how you have success, coaches.

Going to have to wait a minimum of 2 more years for that to be possible since you can't send a one-way NHL contract to the ECHL, and Lazar has an NHL contract for one more year after this one.

Lazar doesn't have a goal in 34 games and a poster thinks he'll finish with 10 in the remaining 34?
hats off to you bro, but probably belonged in the 'BOLD! (bold)" thread.

Nice to get these loser points but the lack of scoring has me worried. I just don’t think we can beat out the Cali teams expecting vezina level
Goaltending to the finish line. At some point the bottom nine need to start producing. This team would be so good if we got secondary scoring with even moderate regularity. I know, captain obvious and all that.

I think the frustration comes from knowing the Flames have it in them to plunge the dagger into anybody in OT, yet befuddlingly decided to merely poke with a butter knife in the last 3 instead.
Jets? Sure (if you overlook goal review) they stole a point. But last two felt more like bleeding winnable wins.
