It just really sucks that this teams playoff chances are over since they are ten points out now. Oh wait. They are still in a fine position. Everyone breathe. It will all be okay. Scoring this few goals on the amount of shots they are getting isn't sustainable. Now, I will say its frustrating that we are back to the Sam Bennett from the beginning of the year.

I’d this team doesn’t start to get production from the bottom three lines, they are not making the playoffs. Those lines generate sweet #### all offensively.
And, Brodie is infuriating to watch.

Everyone understands that when you're up by 1 goal, it only takes 1 goal the other way to tie it.
The point though, is that there is no point whining about something until it actually happens. IF it does happen, there's is plenty of time for whining.
But when people do nothing but complain with negative comments when we have the lead, it becomes annoying.
In the end tonight, you guys got your wish and the Kings tied it. Well played.

The Flames are scared of the Oilers. They get bullied and the crumble.

Because they got half the maximum points while playing very sub par hockey.
I don't think that's a bad or a good thing.

LA drove into our zone at took shots at every opportunity. This is why we lost the OT.

Good call.
Yeah, Flames were super patient with the puck in OT when they were flying high. Would circle like hawks while keeping possession before getting the right players on then go in for the kill. Other teams would feel pressured and give up possession like the Flames did tonight, and we'd turn it on them. Now forcing plays that aren't there and not striking when they are.

Sam bennett was never ruined, he’s just never improved. Seems to be going through the motions most games with sparks of creativity from time to time.

2 goals or fewer allowed in 8 straight games.
1 goal allowed in 5 of the last 6.
Feel better?

No. 12 -11-2 at home isn't good enough. Our pp isn't good enough. We are on a 3 game losing streak and it will probably be a 4 game losing streak by this time tomorrow

Glad we picked up another point, but we need to score some goals. Two or less in eight straight games. God I hope we run up the scoreboard tomorrow night.

Neither team played all that well.
Flames hit two posts in this game. Very close to being a different game a couple times.
|
That is the problem when the Flames play at home.. they need a goal or something to play good. They can't make their own momentum, unless it's a goal.. which in the last 3 days, are hard to come by.

Serious question: was Cameron a guy Gulutzan hand picked as an assistant or was he an outside Treliving hire? Dude should’ve been in the unemployment line weeks ago.

you could feel it when Calgary couldn't bury the 2nd goal...
i mean they had some chances; kuemper made some good save, or calgary hit 2-3 post/cross bars... a few bad bounces.
that's not excusing them - their PP is still brutal... sadly guys like sammy and brodie are handling the puck like its a frozen potato.
Now that said, prior to the win streak, their shooting % was abnormally low, like 6-7.. .during the win streak, it shot way up to an above avg 13 or so... chances are the flames will return to a more normal %... 3 goals in 3 games is poor, but i think its some bad luck too

Losing this game is not the end of the world but sure would like to see this team take a significant step forward some day. This could have been a game to create some separation. Guess we will keep waiting for that to happen.

Celebrating loser points only means we end up missing the playoffs by 2 points instead of 10. The points in 10 straight narrative is garbage. We're on a 3 game losing streak where we've only scored 3 goals. Changes need to be made.

The first goal was great but it's been a few games of unentertaining hockey. They're going up the boards and chipping it a lot. No plays through the middle of the ice, not much creativity.
But LAK blocked a lot. PP could've been a difference maker. This has been hard to watch
