Updating the Site

Just a general Question...are there any plans to give CP.com some...'updated' graphics any time soon?

Heh yeah there's been plans, none that have come to fruition so far though. It's a pretty big time commitment from someone.

I can help with some things, like maybe instead of little squares under our names, I could make little black pucks?

Sure, any stuff that you want to make go ahead (even in a static HTML page from one forum view) and submit it to me and I can show Bingo and the other guys.

Things that changed:

• Mustard Yellow above post's changed to red
• Red Squares changed to Black Mini-Pucks
• Bar above Quick Reply changed to Black

Well we do all have normal lives to live you know, there's only so many hours people can volunteer...

Getting the rep system up and getting something on the front page are higher priorities at this point.

Some 10x10 options for the exp icon based on Jordan's puck idea.



I thought about doing a flame or a hockey stick but at 10 pixels the detail is pretty much lost.

Here's a puck on it's side....


I assume they are gifs but can do whatever type needed.

I like the puck on it's site... a little too round though but 10x10 isn't alot to work with. Can you Chop the puck out of your avatar, minus the fire? So it looks more 3D at an angle?

The puck on end is pretty tough to figure out WDF it is...but it might work.


edit: actually the more I look at it, the more I like...and I'm not even squinting.

The puck on end like that looks pretty boss. I wouldn't mind seeing that; although, that would result in that much less red on the page.

How about retiring this logo?


I mean, it's nice and all, but it as been around a while. It's getting to the point where it's starting to have that "vintage" look about it.
I think it could be spiced up a bit. Just a thought.
