Maybe he always wanted to go to an event.
I really hope that this events leads to a banning of all pedos from school grounds, regular swimming, beaches, in short anywhere kids can be seen.
|
Which is fine...I was responding to someone who said this is a nudist group holding an event for their members (giggity) not the case.
I realize pedos are everywhere...naked kids are not.

I'm sure you can pull up the law that prevents nudity in private then. If you're going to bring up the law, you should be able to point to an actual law. There's only 174 of the Criminal Code and that's public. A private event, even at a public facility, is private. Funny how none of the detractors have brought up the legality...because it's not.

What does it being sold out or having to buy tickets have to do with it? There are plenty of joe blows from the public going, random guy on my hockey team bought tickets...and I can assure you he is no member of this or any other nudist group.
Anyway I have already spent too much time on it...I really think they are asking for trouble by not restricting the age. For consenting adults I don't care at all.
|
I don't get this reasoning. CPS / Child Services would be considered respectable authorities on the matter. If it were actually a concern to them, then wouldn't speaking out would have the desired outcome for the crowd who is so against this being a family event.

Best way to ensure public safety is widely known to be by not saying anything publicly.
Good grief.

So let say someone wanted to hold a PRIVATE event wherein all the minors undress in front of adults. It's a private event, right? No laws are being broken right?

That sounds like sexual gratification, and would be against the law.
You do realize there's nude beaches in Canada right?
If you morally object to it, or take issue for whatever reason, that's fair. No argument. But if you're bringing up the law...actually probably good idea to know the law. At least point to some section that would make this illegal before brandishing as such.

So you think CPS and Child and Family Services is good with an event that has naked children and sold tickets to the general public with no screening?
I assume there will be a statement in the near future...and its unlikely this event will move forward as planned.

Just have naked cops at the event. Good thing is they'd be undercover. That is, not covered at all, which would make them undercover. Yeah.

sure sure, I'm hopeful that they are very concerned, having been tipped off to this disgusting affair by their fist-waving, child-clutching, rocking-chair-on-the-front-porch concerned citizen dino7c.

I should start a petition to remove the kids underwear section from the Zellers flyer.

Cops are concerned but apparently it's also illegal. Why would they not just shut down the illegal activity?
There's nude beaches across Canada, some are legally clothing optional while others they turn a blind eye. The same group already hosted a clothing optional swim. There's resorts where clothing is not optional - it's outright banned. Places like Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park have been operating for years.

Anyway 18+ is a reasonable expectation IMO...sorry if you have a different opinion. Yes there are pedophiles everywhere...the kids usually aren't naked, especially for an extended period of time.
What about parents who don't believe in modern medicine? Parents who want to marry off a 12 year old? Extreme examples but kids can't make their own decisions and it's not out of the ordinary for society to protect them. FWIW I had no problem with the event itself unit I saw the family friendly thing. Knowing the event is open to the public and at a public facility...I think 18+ is reasonable. Again my opinion, sorry if it's not progressive enough for the CP mob. (Who aren't going anyway and certainly not taking their own children)
And no I didn't sign that ridiculous petition
My last take on the topic

Yeah, not sure what dino was getting at. He insinuated it wasn't private because his buddy bought tickets online. Makes no sense.
