IMO they should just have the winter period be 3 rounds of the FA Cup
use the FA cup rounds for PL dates later in the year, but have the PL clubs enter on Boxing day, game 2 on New Years Day/Eve, and game 3 the weekend after
that way any clubs with shortened schedules are playing against those in a similar situation, plus people rest players for those games anyway

it does seem especially unfair this year though for the clubs playing West Ham and Spurs today, who are on 48/72 hours rest vs a team with a week
those two then get the quick turnaround next weekend in the cup but they would throw out rotated squads vs Shrewsbury and AFC Wimbledon anyway

Not only is De Bruyne not hurt, he's starting tonight while Puncheon has a torn ACL.Maybe De Bruyne is a cybernetic organism, living tissue over metal endoskeleton?

Well, it came down to injury time vs. West Brom tied 1-1...
...Andy Carroll with his second goal of the game to win it!
Thank goodness.

Coutinho is "injured" and won't play in the FA Cup tie this week. Rumour mill more and more suggesting he's going to Barca now and not in the summer. I'd still be pretty surprised if Liverpool sold now considering they still have Champions League to play for.

And hes Cup-Tied for the Champions League anyways so he cant play for Barca in the CL and they dont really need him as they're running away with the Spanish League.
Really doesnt make sense for anyone to sell him now rather than the summer.
I mean, other than if his season gets better and better and better and Liverpool keep jacking the hell out of the price. But I'm okay with that.

Looking forward to another Wenger meltdown after another soft penalty against Arsenal.

textbook example of what is wrong with modern football. Hazards foot is slightly touched and he goes down in apparent agony, holding his shin (!!!) of all places. Disgusting, and of course he gets rewarded.

Was it as good as Everton's Penalty against Liverpool?

That's the only way to get a call though. Yesterday one of the Swans (Dyer I think, but don't quote me on that), cut through the box and was too honest according to the commentators. Had he dropped like he was shot, he probably would've gotten the call.
I do think it's crazy, and it's hard to even tell what should be called as a spectator at times. There were a couple against Spurs players that I think were obvious...but I have a feeling that if I were sitting beside a Swansea supporter they would have a different interpretation.

If you're a neutral and not watching Spurs and WHU, don't change a thing. I think WHU crossed half 2-3 times and occasionally had less than 8-9 players outside their own box.
Now at half watching the pundits praise this is laughable. Sure...congrats on staying at 0-0, but this is what's wrong with the game.

West Ham have been abysmal but if they steal this win that's a hell of a goal to do it.

Two rocket strikes. Good draw, but West Ham parking the bus did make for a first half drier than the Sahara.
