I think the SK plan is $53 now but still $48 if you sign up with a MB #. That's what my wife did.

Bump.
Saw Bell, Rogers, and Koodoo are offering 10GB/$60 mo.
Catch is it is a limited time offer (just this weekend) and you need to being an unlocked device (BYOD).
If anyone needs such a device I just happen to have on for sale in the Buy and Sell forum...

Is the 10GB a set amount or is it a promo amount that goes down after a year or two?

From what I read it is for 2 years everywhere except Koodoo.
Koodoo is no term limit.
Haven’t verified myself however.

I jumped on the 4gb for $55 at virgin last weekend. Guess I should have waited a week.

Actually looks like Rogers is the only one who has a portion of the bonus data expire after 2 years (5GBs base + 5GBs bonus)

We took the APEGA plan that uses Rogers. Pretty decent so far, but just have to be an APEGA member to get it. This is $50/month for a BYOD. The Visual Voicemail is amazing.
Rate Plan & Features
APEGA 5GB Plan
5GB Pooled Data
Call Display w/Name Display
Enhanced Voicemail
Unlimited North American LD
Unltd CAN to US/Intl Text/MMS
Unltd Text/Pic/Video Messages
Visual Voicemail - iPhone

Instead of dialing in and having to press buttons it is like checking a text message or missed call. It says who called and when and you just click on it and the message plays.

Yeah. It’s quite handy when you have certain people who call you constantly but can’t seem to hang up before the call goes to voicemail.

Rogers has dropped the extra data expiry now to compete with the others.

Looks like I can finally safely drop my old grandfathered 6GB/$30 + minutes plan with Rogers. I've been hanging on to that for what must be close to ten years.
Before I change plan details, anyone see any perks Bell and Koodo are offering that Rogers isn't?

I signed up my mom on the 10GB offer this weekend with Telus. Pretty sweet deal because her Bell contract is up in 2 weeks. I could include her activation with my other accounts so it is only $55 per month for her. It would have been awesome if the data was shareable though.

Just hopped on the 10 GB for $60 with Rogers as well... was holding on to an old plan from ~2010 that was 6 GB for around $72. Those snakes kept trying to get me onto some trash Share Everything that was 2 GB for $80+.

I currently pay $65 plus fees/taxes for my 6 gig plan with Fido, and this is the first time I have ever considered switching it. Seems that the 10 gig one would cost $60, but I would lose Visual Voicemail. And while visual voicemail is not at all essential, especially considering how infrequently anyone calls me, it would feel very archaic to have to dial in for voicemail again.
But I'd save $5/month on both mine and my wife's plans, and get 4 more gigs to boot.
Of course, it is impossible to get through to an agent (online or by phone) to confirm the details right now.

So Telus won't let you change this plan online. Only over the phone or at a store.
Figured I'd try chat.
Currently 1000 people ahead of me in line hahahaha.

Don't waste your time with the chat. Apparently it can't be done via chat. Some of the folks on Redflagdeals are reporting it can only be done by phone or at the stores.

I’m at a store right now and they are claiming they don’t change plans. Lol. Morons.

I went into the TELUS store at Northhill on Sunday. Told the guy I would sign up 2 lines, and he tried to call in. After 10 minutes on hold he told me to come back as there was 111 people ahead of me on the phone.
So I walked over to Bell and it took 30 minutes but they got me signed up.

I got it switched over this morning through chat on Telus. The rep said they were starting to have issues with the system due to the amount of people trying to switch, so maybe they disabled the chat option
