Wow, good for him. Didn't think he'd be able to generate more votes than Jeter or Ortiz. He had a really great last 4 and a half months of the season to be sure.

If we can convince Payton Manning to defect now....we will have all four corners of th sports world covered!

Wow, what a stunner! Thought the baseball writers would continue the love in for Jeter, great to see for Justin, but I would argue that the guy behind the plate in Minny is just as deserving.

Nah, we need to make Ladainian Tomlinsson feel like becoming a Canadian.

LT! LT! LT!

Back to Morneau, I'm glad he won, I thought he fully deserved it with his stats being much better across the board then Jeter or Ortiz. And thankfully the media love fest for Jeter didn't skew voting his way.

Nice to see a Canadian get the award. Got see him play this summer while visiting my brother in Minneapolis. He's the real deal!

Well not as bad a choice as Howard over Pujols in the NL but still not the right guy.

I am glad for the Canuck but Morneau should not have beat Jeter and Howard should not have beat Pujols. The MVP doesn't always go to the right guy and I am sure Pujols will keep his WS ring over the MVP but odd that both leagues got it wrong.

I am SO pumped!

And I just got my authentic Twins home Morneau #33 jersey in the mail last week. Definitely wearing it to school tomorrow proudly!
