Gio is solely responsible for that last goal. He could have shoot the puck or cycle it down low, but he decided to hold the puck for a second too long which resulted in the Canucks PP. what a dumb play!

And the defensive zone ref emphatically pointed to both players signalling both were going off. Then he took his penalty call to Vancouver back.

Yes it was. That whole play happened because Gio bobbled the play then full on fist grabbed Boeser's stick. When Boeser went down Gio went with him because he was clutching his stick.

I don't like how they took back the both call (don't indicate it in the first place), but in the end it was the right call.

Boeser was caught flat and applied the hook, Gio gets the only penalty. What a joke.

3 on 1 and not a single shot. And of course Boeser scores. F*. Fire everything on net for rebounds. Come on

What do you guys expect. We have a coach that refuses to even look in the refs direction. Too easy to make a call against the flames.

There was no hook.... It was a hold of the stick on Gio.

Flames are anxious in their own rink. Just afraid to take the bull by the horns like they seem to be able to in anyone else's rink. Baffling.

I'm sick of the PP not even setting up, let alone shots, let alone goals. The PP has been a momentum killer.

Hopefully they can score on this one but have they given any indication they can be dangerous?

This game is frustrating and playing into VAN hands. Looks have been there but CGY can't execute. No shots or missed nets or over passing.

Bear down.

He was shouting at the ref after the call...

If the flames were to score on some of their hundred good chances the penalty wouldn't be a discussion. Not getting a shot off on a three on one? Better rectify that crap in the third. We are obviously better than the nucks, but that don't matter if the only one to put the puck in the net is Troy Brouwer.

I loathe Glen Gulutzan as much as the next person, but he was demonstrably upset on the bench and was indeed gesticulating wildly. It’s at least a change from the deer in the headlights/stare at the invisible iPad routine.

Absolutely, it's a textbook hooking penalty.

Flames continuing to play well. Need to simplify their game offensively but carrying the play. Stick with it
