I'm not going to boycott him, or dislike him people can go to extreme's quite easily, just like the guy's who were targetted by him on the way out. Who seemed to threaten his life and return racial slurs.

If that's the case then those guys are racists like Richards.

Why do racist appologists alway start off with "they do it too"
How in the world does that justify it? When did 2 wrongs start making a right?

I agree with this viewpoint, all things being equal
But, I don't think it's a stretch to assume that all things aren't equal regarding race relations in the USA right now, and defintely not historically. So, a double standard in black people being "allowed" to call white people cracker or whatever, and white people not being "allowed" to call black people the n word doesn't bother me.
It's still early in the progress to full tolerance and understanding and all that. A black child born today will have parents and especially grand parents who went through terrible racism, so it's understandable that there's some residual anger left on their part. I know if I grew up knowing that my grandfather was routinely disrespected and marginalized in society solely based on his skin colour, I would be angry about that even I didn't encounter it like that. Although it does seem to be getting better slowly.
And I'm not addressing you directly with this Spitfire, this is just my general view on the subject.

There is a pretty obvious difference between what Chris Rock is saying in that clip and a white guy repeatedly calling some black guys "******s".
On Seinfeld there was some parody/self-parody of Jewish people. That is different than some moron comedian calling Jews in his audience a bunch of "kikes", wouldn't you say?

That's what I was thinking too. I don't understand the rational for doing it.

Chris Rock:
"You see these weird white guys getting overly patriotic, and they have their f***in' flag hats on, and their flag drawers, and their flag pickups: 'I'm American, man! I'm American! F*** all these f***in' foreigners!' There was a lot of accepted racism when the war started: 'I'm American, man! I'm American! F*** the French!' That was cool. Then: 'I'm American, man! I'm American! F*** all these Arabs!' And that was cool. Then they went to: 'I'm American! I'm American! F*** all these illegal aliens!' Then I started listening, because I know that n****s and Jews is next."
Great social commentary and funny.
M. Richards:
"Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f--king fork up your ass." ... He's a n****r! He's a n****r!He's a n****r! A n****r, look, there's a n****r!
Well... NOT funny.

After "Kramer" told him to leave because he was a ******. I think we can all forgive him for the cracker-ass white boy remark. HAHAHA double standard.

It's not a double standard. Those guys in the crowd are a couple of nobodies. Who cares what they have to say?

The only double standard is the fact that we care what a celebrity has to say more then 2 randoms in the crowd.
People say racist things everyday and don't get attention. Richards does cause he's a celeb. There's the only double standard.

Yep. 1:09 into it. It even shows up in the subtitles.
And yes, it's as the people are leaving.
However, we still don't have anything showing us what came before the video started.
All around bad for Richards, no doubt. But as I said I'm going to reserve judgement until we see all of the stand up.

Better yet, what happened to one taking responsibilty for ones own actions. As far as i'm concerned the 2 randoms are a non issue if Richards doesn't make the racist remarks.

Exactly... but as mentioned above two wrongs don't make a right... but I still fail to see that a "You're not funny" heckle would set him off to that extent.

Just asking...
What kind of prior video do you need to see that would give you anything but a negetive judgment of Richard's comments?
You seem to be saying that if certain things are said before that clip, you won't be disgusted by his reaction.
I'm curious what those certain things are that would justify his reaction?

Nothing will justify it... nobody is claiming it would. But something more has to have been said for him to go that far...
