Why Stajan is even on the ice ever really makes one question wtf this coaching staff is thinking.
At least the flames some what settled down in the latter half of the period.
Gaudreau and smith were the only players that have come to play so far.

A large part of that is that one shift in the first five minutes where they got stuck on the ice for probably 90 seconds

Ferlands been in a good spot several times. Harmonic a little more in-your-face than I would have thought. Johnny looking good. Smith being great.
Lots to hate about their play thus far, but it could be a lot worse.

Yesh, that was uuuuuggggly. The good news is that because this is hockey the flames will score the next goal and win this one going away. Only players that were decent were .... ya no one. Except Smith he was godly.

Yes, coaches analysis tells you to count the shifts, not the ice time. That's how the coach is trying to use his lines.

lol no kidding...they were hemmed in their own zone for what felt like 5 minutes and then add the PK.
Stajan is playing too much but in this case I don't think it was by design

They have been getting so badly hemmed in for long periods of time, so this does not surprise me. I bet shift lengths are 90+ seconds

Plus, Backlund was in the box on the PK. Which affected Stajan's time. That's probably a minute there.
