Market mall is a little chaotic with everyone trying to escape the rain. Most stores are out of candy or never had any to begin with.

Trains are stopped going south due to some police incident at Southland. I also anecdotally heard that another window fell off Brookfield and roads are closed again but I haven't seen that verified. Fun Halloween commute.

CPS has confirmed road closures due to concerns about Brookfield and "window integrity". Brookfield should get absolutely annihilated with fines, utterly disgraceful.

It is not raining in my hood and the kids are out really early this year because of the weather. My hood has a lot of younger families moving in so the number of kids has been steadily going up every year.

Had 100+ here in our rural-ish community NW of Chicago. Great costumes and was good fun, actually.

We've had about 75 kids so far and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. I may run out of candy.

Kind of strange. We usually get 20-30 or so.

Moved in July. Actually about 25 miles (yeah - Americanizing already lol) NW of downtown Chicago. Here temporarily, for now, on 2 year L1 visa. Could make it permanent, I expect. Will see how it plays out.
NW Chicagoland, specifically Lake County, is beautiful. There is a tiny bit of culture shock, but so far so good.
