Vegas waives Jason Garrison
Apparently to make room for Erik Haula once he comes off IR.
Also have assigned Reinhart to the AHL on a conditioning stint.
Garrison is Vegas' highest paid defenceman with a cap hit of $4.6 million. Last year of his contract.

Should get claimed I would think. Oilers and leafs have the cap room this year, and it improves their defence.

With a cap hit of $4.6M, extremely doubtful he gets claimed.
Better places for teams to spend money than him.

Nobody is claiming him, he's done. Tampa paid a lot just to get Vegas to take him off their hands.
If there was a market for him the Lighning wouldn't have had to pay a hefty price to get rid of him.

Garrison took the ceremonial face off before their home opener so that's probably where the confusion comes from.

These guys come in and it’s always a nice polite one. You serve them because you dont want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.
And THEY bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh, this is a Nazi bar now. And its too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.
