You spelled "opinion" wrong. It's two 'O's and two 'N's.

Aside from those two power-plays where they scored early we controlled the majority of that game.
I'd like to see a 'bobbled pass' count for the first period. They were really sloppy. Fast but sloppy. Penalties didn't help (story of the season). Really pulled it together and looked dominate the rest of the game.

Tkachuk really gets each teams loud mouth defenseman revved up eh?

I stayed out of the game thread as they've pretty much become a gathering place for insecure venters to repeat their tired hang-ups over and over ad nauseam...

When did ragging on Gully become a thing as of late?

Didn't the same thing happen last year? CP calls out some decisions, make suggestions then a week later suddenly GG does exactly that and it ends up working. GG lurks CP.

Probably has Backlund's Socks on ignore.

Tkachuk has some legit goal scoring talent. He just racked up assists all last season though.

He should really shoot more.

Are you implying Treliving would have ignored GG if GG didn't say that he wanted/needed Jankowski in the lineup? The same Gulutzan who talked about a 40/40 split for Jankowski in the AHL / NHL, or whom Conroy pointed out would have scratched Jankowski on a regular basis (which in turn was a big part in sending Janko down)? The same Gulutzan who seems oblivious to Kulak outplaying the likes of Jokipakka and Bartkowski.

Definitely gripping their sticks a bit tight in the first but still thought they out-played them 5 on 5 regardless of that.

The 2nd and 3rd was all Calgary though.

I do have a strong tendency of complaining when the Flames are not looking good and losing yes. I especially complain when they are scoreless for 2 periods. Not going to argue that I hate to lose.
Did I take the wind out of your sails that I agree I 100% agree.

While we are making crazy theories I think Backlunds Socks in real life is a bitter Bob Hartley.

After wanting to slit my wrists reading the game thread after the first period, this just made my night. 😂

I'm saying Treliving didn't want to expose a player to waivers. As for the rest of your "quotes" (which aren't), Kulak was no better than Jokipaaka or Bartkowski. He's had some terrible games (this wasn't one and hopefully, he's turned a corner). I've never heard Conroy say Jankowski would be scratched a lot. What he said was it wouldn't be worth bringing him up to sit. Well, he was called up and he didn't sit. And GG saying Jankowski might play 40/40 was most likely to cover for the management decision not to call him up.

I dunno. Hartley had a flowery way with words that would be immediately obvious. Plus, he was funny.

How about Gaudreau's defence in OT? Some people think he's only all offense in OT but most his chances come from defence.

His system is actually not bad, but he absolutely sucks at player utilization and in game adjustments, and also gets schooled on matchups.

Unless he shows dramatic improvement in these areas (finally moving Bennett to the wing is a start) i just don't see this team realizing it's potential with him in charge.

So Gulutzan should publicly state his GM made
the wrong decision?

I did not realize how much offense Janko generates by shielding and using his long reach. Bennett was electrifying and should have had a couple of points. If he continues to play with Janko he will get some gifts. I thought Stajan really struggled and was bailed out by Smith a few times.
