Would I be able to park on the streets close by or the shopping mall and just walk to the station.

My other option was to drive to sait earlier in the morning and look for street parking a few blocks away from sait.

I also saw there is parking at riley park for a flat rate of 3 bucks is this true?

 Any advice or better options

I think thats wrong on the reserved spots. Looks like half are reserved. I dont know how early youd need to get there to get a spot. I think things are less crazy than they were a couple of years ago before the economic bust.
You also have the option to drive further in to another train station.

Thanks. I must have misread it on the site.

I park at somerset LRT park and ride and a decent portion of the spots are not reserved, they are first come served. I think you have to get there fairly early though (before 7am)

Depending where you are, maybe it would be less hassle to catch a bus to the ctrain station?

6:45 am sommerset fills up. You can also go to Anderson which fills up pretty late (it used to fill about 8). Fish Creek I think is about 7.

There's parking a few blocks away from the shawnessy station to the north of the 7-11. It's a couple minutes to walk to the station there's always parking and it's free.

You can park at the Rosemont Community Association on 10th St NW and then walk the pathway through Confederation Park until you get to around 12th St and then simply walk the 4-5 blocks south until you hit SAIT.
I did this often through my Apprenticeship and loved it, as it gave me time to think either before or after classes, and the exercise helped me out too.

I would not recommend trying to find parking in or around SAIT, the area is far too well patrolled by bylaw.

Looks like you have day classes?
I did 4 night classes there and parked at the school just off 10th. Obviously wouldn't work during the day, but I decided it wasn't hurting anyone to park at the school after 5:30pm, and it would be stupid too pay for SAIT parking, just to walk the same distance to my class

A little bit further out, but there is free parking right by Tipperarys in Banff trail, and a 5 minute walk from lions park station, which is one away from sait. Pm me if you want more specific details (I live right in that area).

I take it moving isn't an option?
That commute is going to suck. I hated when I had to commute from Willow Park to the U of C but this seems way worse.

My only advice would be to spend some cash to park at SAIT, park near SAIT and walk, or get to Somerset really early.

Moving isn't an option, just recently signed the lease haha

Yes it will suck but it's only 2 months of the year for my apprenticeship. I think from the replies park and ride seems the best option for most days.

You could drive to the Douglas glen park and ride, take the BRT downtown and hop on the train.
Or the 151 if you’re early enough.

When I used to live in the Deep South, I'd take an express bus into Downtown, and then hop on the Northbound train from there, and head to SAIT.
