Good first period. No goal but good tempo and puck possession. Would like to see the presence of a fore check though.

Credit the defender for his stick work. The puck was labeled top corner Gaudreau doesn't score on that

They were speculating maybe a wrist injury?

It kinda looked to me like Jagr was grimacing a bit even before that play.. Slow to get off the ice on a previous shift etc..

Yeah, they couldn’t shut up about it for the rest of the period.

The only thing i can think of is that he jammed his wrist when he took that shot where he broke his stick.

Ah yes. The Oilers scoring woes being discussed ad nauseam during a Flames-Wild HNIC.

Maybe Jagr got so much ice time in that first period he just thought he'd take the rest of the night off

Makes sense. They can flip the tenderness for Max Pacioretty because Montreal wants no one who scores goals? Worthless intermission discussion.

Honestly, I could totally see him doing that. Trolling level 10000000.

Didn't have a problem with it cause they were discussing the other Canadian games and that included the oilers.

Is a valid topic but they failed to point out that the team is simply no good and overachieved last season. The longer they dance around that truth the more amusing it is.

Lmao as if the habs would give up pacioretty for nothing happens. At least suggest something realistic.

It's incredible how often your analysis is the exact opposite of reality.
