What's wrong with that goal? It was tipped off Monahan?

Oh, yes, it obviously was tipped off of Monahan, and also assisted by Gaudreau. That's the issue, because it's been scored as "Hamilton -- unassisted".
Anyway, congrats to Dougie Hamilton on his career-high two-goal game. Two whole goals.

Yeah they'll change it tomorrow at the latest. I wouldn't worry about it. NHL is pretty good about awarding/fixing stats.

Not sure who the "haters" are but it is indisputable that he hasnt been very good this season and was very ineffective for most of last year.
Everyone (Flames fans at least) wants him to do well, that doesnt preclude him from not living up to his end of the deal though.

Patience Backlund has been traded so many times on CP, Bennett is going to be a solid player, not to mention is this like game 6 ?!

I'm a big fan of Bennett but after a pre-season where I really thought he was set to break out this season, I have returned to the opinion that he's a better winger at this level. I'd like to see Jankowski recalled and put in Bennett's spot and then they could either keep Jagr on the top line or put Bennett there.
I'm not sure what Lazar's ceiling is but right now I don't think he belongs in the top 9 on this team. To be honest I don't think Ferland even belongs there. If they were to run a line of Ferland-Lazar-Brouwer, I think it would be the right spot for all three of them.

Yes, he probably will be. In fact, there's a decent chance he'll become a really good player, but the fact of the matter is that he's kinda struggling right now and he's had more than his fair share of bad patches last year too as well.
Point is, some people here seriously get too sensitive and act like Bennett should be above being criticized and get their panties in way too tight a bunch when people criticize him.

That's a fair point. Just a reminder that Backlund was the bane of the impatient around here too. Bennett will be just fine .

Any word on the attendance? Looked super sparse. I hate the new NHL site. Impossible to find anything useful on it. Like where the hell is the old game sheet? That's literally all I want to see. Not fancy graphics and a bunch of useless info.

It would be naive of the team to not let Janko try the 3c role and move Bennett to the wing. Yes they want Bennett to become a C but Janko could be better right now. Janko looked better than Sam in pre-season and has obviously looked great in Stockton. He just seems better suited for the center role and seems to be a more polished player right now. Bennett has lots of holes in his game

I agree it's wrong, but the NHL isn't watching CP.
Tweet at them / Sportsnet / TSN if you want anything

Backlund was always good defensively though and his problem was he wouldn't push the offence enough.
Two totally different players, don't see the comparisons at all.

I'm glad Freddie's sheer stupidity didn't cost this team and have any direct severe negative consequences tonight in any way.
Then he comes out of the box at the absolute perfect time to make it a 3-on-1 as well to pick up a rather fortuitous point.
What a lucky bastard.

A really smart move by Brouwer to skate with the puck rather than dump it out of the zone. Markstrom was terrible on that Gio goal though, I had flashbacks of Hiller.

Yup.
Brad/GG have to look long and hard at Bennett and Jankowski's head shots in their wallets and make the right choice here already, preferably in the next several days.
Jankowski to the 3C and Bennett to 1RW or 3LW, please and thanks.
