Powerplay Quarterback
The two things that irk me most in the organization right now are that I don't understand what Jankowski and Rittich have to do to get their dues. Does Gillies have the bigger upside than Rittich? Who the hell knows? Rittich always plays second fiddle no matter how he performs. Our third and fourth line centres with the Flames have no points through close to five games. We're benching the 4th line centre to get Freddie Hamilton into the line-up. Janko has 4 goals and an assist through 3 games. He's earned his shot. The management is blowing this right now.

Kind of feel bad for Rittich, he has out played Gillies since being in the organization, but based on everything the Flames have done they have him behind Gillies in importance to the franchise. Not that Gillies has been bad but not as good as Rittich.

I really hope Rittich gets a chance to play in the NHL this year.
He seems to be as consistent as they come.
The Heat might be real good this year

Our top 5 AHL scorers
Extremely encouraging that all 5 could theoretically be good enough to play in the NHL by next season

It's weird seeing the number 12 on the jersey in 'flames colours' right now, especially left handed haha

Are they? Or are they absolutely nailing player development?

Play a guy with plugs and then act suprised when he plays like a plug
Yes he can't skate for ####, but he protects pucks well and is a good forechecker and finisher when he can get into position
He has way more talent than anyone gives him credit for. If he could actually fight he'd probably be playing top 6 minutes for Stockton

wat?
Every play dies on his stick. He's gotten his opportunities with guys like Jankowski and Vey and did nothing with them.
Don't be fooled by size. There's a reason this guy was never a PPG in
junior hockey.
