I don't recall a game at any point last year whereby GG has been able to adjust on the fly. He seems unable to make mid game changes and routinely gets out coached.

Brodie did get his sticks in the Canucks hands which is exactly what we were asking for because of all the non-calls against Gaudreau and exactly the mandate the league has given to the refs this year.
As long as the refs are consistent and call that for the Flames, meh, it was a good call. The biggest issue was the non 4-minute PP call.

They whistle it down when the other team touches the puck next.
It's standard. I remember Turco used to play those situations so intelligently and pull himself for an extra attacker knowing the play is dead automatically anyways so may as well treat it like a delayed penalty.

What the joke is, is the Flames refusal to adjust to the standard. I don't like the standard at all, but that is what is being called.
When Canadian World junior teams go to the tournament over in Europe they usually adjust to the officiating within a game. Why can't these professionals?
