The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
Someone looks pretty happy about being on the first line!
Spoiler!
Lazar comment from the Flames Twitter account “I think we’re going to compliment each other well.” - Curtis Lazar on playing alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan tonight
I'm pretty sure that's his sad face.

Relax, I simply looked up the 1st game of the year in 2014. I know it's not perfect, and many changes were made.
Fair enough. But I seem to remember a Gaudreau-Colborne-Byron line to open that season?
Definitely a lot less of that inanity these days with the added depth.

You're missing both Colborne and Backlund, who had some healthy scratches but played regular roles in the first half.
Colborne and Backlund were out with injury for pretty much all of 2014 that season. In fact Backlund didn't return until mid-January.

You have Baertschi and Setoguchi who only played 15 and 12 games that season for us as regulars. Regulars like Raymond, Jones and Stajan just vanished.
Stajan, Raymond, and Jones were also injured in October/November. They started come back in December.

Ferland is a first half regular after only playing ten games until the end of Feb?
When Ferland was called up, he was in the lineup, and then someone (Colborne?) got healthy and he was sent down.

Being fair you stated you're just going off memory, but I had a good chuckle at that mystery line up.
I distinctly remember something close to all of those lines. We had a lot of injuries that year.

Yeah, that's way less than the 3-4000 they were talking about a week ago.
The 3000 number was through the NHL worldwide.
400 likely from the FanAttic.
Doesn't count all the blank jerseys bought that are getting customized separately, or the ones bought through other sources than the NHL store or FanAttic.

I remember writing cursive "Jagr" and pretending it was an autograph on my penguins hat when I was a kid. Now he plays for the Flames. man this is surreal going to be crazy cheering for him tonight!
