Why not get rid of hand pass rule?

This rule of hand pass did get an update with respect to face-offs. Can't tie up the opposition stick or drop to the ice and use your hand to win an advantage from the face-offs. Oilers used this to perfection and now it is banned.

If the puck bounces off a body part and into the goal it's okay. But you can't make a specific motion to direct the puck towards the net.
