A Brouwer trade must be with Vegas to dump a contract of one of their excess defensemen. They have a terrible logjam on defense.
We could use an upgrade at 3LD anyways. Who has one or two years left on a deal in Vegas?

Stoner and Sbisa both have 1 year left - I'd prefer Stoner.

5 of their D total are UFA at the end of the year, but one is Engelland, they probably need Garrison for the PP, and Brayden McNabb is a suspension waiting to happen.

Vegas only has 11 NHL forwards, they need to make a trade or they'll be playing D up front.

Garrison, Sbisa, Stoner, Schmidt, McNabb, Merril, Theodore, Reinhart all are LD with 1 year left (except for Schmidt who has 2).

			Precisely. BT is a genius.
Sbisa, Stoner, Schmidt, McNabb, Merrill are all left defensemen.

Garrison has a NTC and Theodore is making the team. Both are left defense.

George McPhee has no option but to make a deal and move a left defenseman.

Brouwer for Stoner straight up and we save a million a year. Stoner is the most expendable as the oldest of the bunch.

Miller, Merrill, Schmidt, Reinhart and Theodore are all RFAs though.

Stoner - Stone? This needs to happen just for the funny names and to make the PBP guys mess up.

Plus, Vegas can't expect to contend for 1st overall without Sbisa.

So if Brouwer gets traded does that mean Jagr get the 'A'?
I want to order a jersey but want it to be correct!

Wonder if this is the Flames best kept secret and they are bringing in Iggy to replace Brouwer. Iggy brings toughness and can play up and down the line where needed. He would add a bit of scoring as well.

My bad...apparently he has a ntc, not a nmc...so yes that threat is possible.
