Treliving on Tkachuk ‘if the dust is flying he’s usually in the middle of it’

So good.

So pumped for Benny too I think he’ll have a great year this year - I love what Tre is saying too ‘we look good but it’s about results, it’s about doing it’

We really saw this team buy in last year down the stretch and we were a top 5 team for 50 + games - if we hit the ground running this year with all the upgrades we could be a scary team.

Oh man, I love that beard, I wasn't sure what to expect when someone mentioned that he had a beard. I was thinking something like this:

But I am glad he actually has a real man beard! Something Jumbo Joe can be proud of one day, maybe Benny will take over the epic beard of the league once Joe retires. I can't remember the last flames player to have such an epic beard, maybe Engelland in the playoffs a few years ago, not quite this big but not bad.

Benny is going to have a great year this year. I just hope others can step and give him some support since he won't likely get the kind of line mates that Money Hands and Backlund have on the wings.

Bennett's picture. How can that beard not be a key part of this team?

I thought I saw one a few weeks back where his beard was at the length of Burns, Thornton and Sharp? I could be wrong through.

The beard means that hes been so focused on training that he hasnt even had time to shave.

It's not even playoff time yet. He's gonna trip over it by then.

Bennett can be a big piece of the puzzle this year but you have to give him a better player to be saddled to than the Invisible Brouwer.

This is why I'd rather see Jankowski eased into the NHL on the wing. Let him play his rookie season on Bennett's right side (or left side if you want to move Versteeg to the right).

Once Jankowski is used to the grind of the NHL you can move him back to centre the fourth line. But Bennett isn't going to have his breakout season if he has to carry Brouwer the whole time.

We were giving Bennett a hard time back last week saying if that's his preseason beard, what's his postseason one going to look like. Going for the ZZ top look?
