They sure love their Nolans in Buffalo... just not for very long.

Vancouver. Reunite the Baertschi-Rattie chemistry from junior.

Interesting that Frankie Corrado hits the waiver wire again after Benning took a lot of flack for exposing him when the Leafs picked him up a couple years back and then never used him. Maybe Jim's not so dim?

According to a few Hawks beat reporters, Chicago has put once highly touted d-man Ville Pokka on waivers
Think it is likely he gets claimed.

Wow, Kenny Agostino merked the A last season. 24-59-83 in 65 games.

Is tomorrow the day teams will be flooding the waiver wires to get their roster's compliant?

They need to be 23 man roster compliant by Tuesday 5pm ET. So Monday is the final day to put players on waivers to clear before that deadline.

This whole weekend is expected to be busy.

I could never figure Agostino out... looked to have loads of untapped skill. Just can’t take it up one more little notch

Just didn't have that elite skill. He's not fast. He's not absurdly skilled. He's not huge. He's not that gritty. Typical tweener.

Man, Pokka would be a great snag. Too bad he's a righty and the Flames are log jammed at the RHD spot.

Dude could probably sign a lucrative deal in Europe - and make more than he could in the NHL - and play in some of the most beautiful countries for the rest of his career.

That Iginla trade is sickening to think back on.
We got 3 assets back, and none of them have shown that they can play at the nhl level. Only klimchuk still young enough to be considered a prospect with rising potential...

Even the other deal with Boston would have been a bust..

Flames likely would have picked the same player in the draft
Khoklachev is in the KHL
Bartowski is the current whipping boy.

			Claim Agostino, sign Jagr
 Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
 Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
 Versteeg-Bennet-Jagr
 Agostino-Jankowski-Hathaway
 Stajan/Glass

Agostino got a one-way deal. So at least he'll get his $875k even in the AHL.

Surprising he got a one way deal without having proved anything in the NHL. Good for him but unfortunate in that this was likely his best ever chance of making it to start the season.
