Nice hands Janko. He's all set to have a great year I think.

As far as I've seen and read, Jankowski has done everything he could to make the team.

To those who are surprised by Jankowski so far, this Canucks team is worse than most teams in a league that Janko dominated.
He is looking damn good though!

Poor decision by Kylington with the ugly block but another learning opportunity. I've got all the time in the world for these D prospects to bake. Kulak is 23 and now looks poised to take a spot. With how Oliver started it could be four years in the AHL before he takes a spot, that's fine. There is zero rush with these guys.
Dube - He just plays such a smart understated games then wham makes these huge plays out of nowhere. Everything we thought Klimchuk could be? See how his offense translates to pro, but he's still got a year and another shot in the World Juniors.

Jankowski.. calm cool collected. Looks every part an NHL'er at this point. Was tired on the PK but still got a nice pass away, got back slowly but was out for awhile at that point. His confidence is great. Doesn't beat himself up, keeps playing well and puck touches tape next time out.. and goal.

Should be a penalty on Lazar. I'd be pissed if a flames goalie got smoked like that

I've been impressed by his steady play most of last year.

 JANKO!!!

Not really overblown at all. Kylington has big holes he needs to fix and a few nice plays in a pre season game against mostly ahlers doesn't change that.

			Lazar looking good tonight.
I don’t think it’s Lazar Vs. Jankowski, I think both players are on the opening night roster.

 Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferland
 Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
 ????? - Bennett - Lazar
 Versteeg - Jankowski - Brouwer
 Stajan

and the Flames skate everyone into the ground by rolling 4 limes.

Yep. Nineteen. I knew that when I posted. I'm sure he could hold his own in the AHL though.

Can't control the opposition but can play hard to get noticed. Plenty of flames Young guys doing so.

For sure, but I'm talking more about his energy and hustle. Doesn't matter how poor of a team you're playing, it's stuff like that I love seeing in a player.

What? That’s being so over critical. It was a 2 on 2 rush and Kylington blocked the shot, and it took an unlucky bounce off his partner which confused almost everyone on the ice.

Weak opposition aside, I've actually been kind of impressed with Cramarossa and Glass. For what they are, at least. Not enough to sign them, but think I'd prefer them have contracts over Gazdic and Hrivik

Agreed. It's not a knock to say a just turned 20 year old needs to work on his defensive play.

"just the portion of CP that goes by higlights, scrimmages etc" you mean 99% of us? No one besides maybe him is watching that much AHL hockey. Who has time for that.

Once again I like Janko and Dube. I think Lazar is having a good game too. The Dube-Lomberg-Glass line is fun to watch.
