But Jankowski/Foo is just as newly minted as Jankowski/Versteeg. Mangiapane is not replacing Foo on that line, Versteeg is.

Anyhow, I think this has more to do with evaluating Jankowski and Mangiapane than it does Foo, who I don't think has been as good as either of the other two in camp.

It is interesting to me that Poirier is not in the lineup tonight. I would interpret this as an indication that the coaches have him ranked with the NHL group as a player who will push for a spot in the starting lineup.

This is correct. I cannot find the article now, but the NHL wanted mostly NHL rosters for these games so both Vancouver and LA were given exemptions on their NA games.

Cramarossa-Lazar-Foo all have something to prove tonight if they want a longer look. especially since their competition is at a sub NHL level.

The real sad part is we won't have Tkachuk dance around Juolevi the human pylon and remind Canucks fans of how bad of a pick that was.

So they feel justified in charging season ticket holders for those games. Would you pay to go see that Vancouver line-up?

I hope you are right but I am not seeing the rationale. Tonight's lineup looks like a mix of NHLers, guys on the cusp (Janko) and guys that clearly won't make it this year.

Not that it matters, but I think the key thing with Bachman is that is says "has dressed in 50 NHL games". He has played 47 so I don't think it is far fetched to assume he was a back up in at least 3 games.

Don't know if that's the case, if it was I think you'd see Jankowski out as well..

EDIT: Actually, reading it again, I still think he doesn't pass muster. It looks to me like the requirement for goalies is that they have to have dressed in 50 games the previous season or played in 30 games the previous season. That is, the words "in the previous season" modify both requirements, not just the latter one. And since Bachmann didn't dress for 50 games last year, he still misses the cut.

I love the line-up on D. Pretty much all of the defensemen that have a shot at the big club, but aren't locks. Will be great to evaluate them today
