If Versteeg really, really works, I wonder if that's a good place for him to slot - while sticking Bennett on Jankowski wing, with Tkachuk on the off-wing.
Stajan-Lazar-Brouwer 4th.

Glass is a bouma replacement for the PK in my mind.
Knows his roll, shuts his mouth, goes out and blocks shots.

If Mangiapane has a good pre season do you think he has a chance at the opening night roster?

At the expense of the 4th line suffering at even strength?
No thanks.

I'm assuming he means in the context of preseason. Because if Glass actually plays a regular season game for this team, I'm going to have some serious questions about Treliving's sanity.

Disagree. It amazes me how many people want to split up 3M. It's one of the best bang for buck lines in the NHL. Leave it alone. Don't fix what isn't broken.

It's too bad Tkachuk's injury is serious enough to keep him out of the line up... Hope he recovers quickly

No he isn't. He's even worse than Bouma. He's a replacement for McGrattan, Westgarth or Bollig.
Glass can't play NHL hockey at all anymore and was never good for anything but facepunching, and we don't need a pure designated facepuncher anymore.
Hathaway's good enough for that even if he's not the facepuncher that Glass is.

From all reports it seems like he could play but not risking it. Should play Wed

The Flames have given virtually no indication that they have any interest in seeing Bennett play wing. They want him to grow into his role as a centre.

Yeah I don't see Glass getting a contract out of this, at least I hope not.
Cramarossa by the sounds of it though is more of a Bouma replacement. Interesting to hear a couple times now that he had as many as 10 waiver claims last season when the Ducks had to put him on waivers and Vancouver claimed him.

Do you think Cramarossa has a half-decent chance of knocking Hathaway or Freddie out of a big team roster spot?

That's fair. If Johnny was a few weeks younger he would have been a first round pick in 2012 rather than a 4th rounder in 2011.

I'll let you know when I see him play. I think he's battling with them for the same role though.

Sometime a line may click for one season but struggle the next, look at Hudler/Mony/Gaudreau. Money in 14-15, and struggled in 15-16.
I'm all for GG keeping the 3M line but having that option in his backpocket is always nice.

These games should be streamed via Youtube Live through the team's official accounts.
Just about every year I can remember the streams have been hideous on these opening split squad nights vs. Edmonton. Streams lagging, sound cutting out etc. The teams have been outright inept when it comes to the technology of these broadcasts.
I get that it's just a pre-season game and it's not a big deal in the big picture, but the technology is so simple it's pretty sad they have had such a difficult time with it in the past.
Hopefully things go smoothly tonight.

Stajan-Lazar-Brouwer 4th.

Yep. That might work.

By all accounts Poirier is having a very good camp. I think he is on the same level as Foo and Jankowski.

The struggles undergone by the Gaudreau · Monahan · Hudler line had a great deal to do with Hudler's level of play dropping, and I don't see the same potential issue for the 3M line.

Sorry at work and I know I have asked. Is there any definitive answer as to whether or not the game will be available on any feeds other than the team websites? I live in Dumbcouver.
