And MacArthur failed his physical this year and isn't with the team.

(Could be one of those Leafs - we don't want this guy on our cap failed physicals as he did come back last year)

this is what he needs to do to play in the NHL
make an impression, don't play safe, practice like you play - all those cliches you hear from coaches this time of year

Is there more context to this? Who is this woman and why do I care if she doesn't like Sieloff? Is Mark Stone returning from a concussion like Macarthur was? Has Ottawa banned fighting from their scrimmages?

From reading more it sounds like Sieloff just shoved him.

He may have a bad rap from the MacArthur incident but I feel like I must be missing something if this is a big deal.

I don't think so. Sens fans probably just soured on him because of the MacArthur thing and now lose their minds everytime he tries to make friends on the ice.

I don't know about Stone but from what I remember Sieloff isn't a good fighter.

Yeah but to be fair to Sieloff, if it wasn't him who aggravated MacArthur's concussion issues, it would have been another teammate by accident or from an opposition player. He failed his physical this year even after such a miraculous run in the playoffs last year. He's been playing on borrowed time for a while. It sucks, but I can't really put the blame on Sieloff when MacArthur probably should have retired a while ago.

It's also likely his teammates were beaking him. That can't be a fun situation for him to be in.

Hey, those sticks are expensive! Stone's parents must be furious.

Kind feel bad for Seiloff. I don't think he was ever going to get a fair shake there after what happened.

You can see the 'incident' at about the 7:40 mark in this video.

WOW, I feel bad for the kid, if people are giving him a hard time about that play.
If it is in fact what happened around the 7:40 mark of the link posted, he stood his ground at the blue line, though he could have leveled Stone.
Stone then gave him a little cross check to the chest which actually broke the stick, then Sieloff give his stick a hack.I really hope he makes the roster this year, and once he starts standing up and hitting opponents, maybe the negative perception will fade.

Saw that on Reddit yesterday and people were losing their minds.

Hope they all shut up once they see the video.

This is where I got the NHL video from, with timing of said incident. Should have posted it all above.

Hahaha. That's amazing.

Stone swung at Sieloff first and Sieloff replied with the "F off" swing back.

I kept watching into almost the 9:00 mark waiting for something else to happen.

Rough ride this kid is getting. If they don't want him I'll take him back in the system. He's a decent AHLer at worst.
