I almost feel sorry for Coiler fans they are so delusional about their team and are in denial about their future (or lack of). But then you read some of their comments and then you can't wait for it to come crashing down on them, probably in November!

And Elliot certainly didn't give us average goaltending when it mattered most. He was abysmal to start the year and again in the playoffs. He deserves some credit for helping the Flames get hot when they did. Elliot was playing average to above average when the Flames got hot mid season. Flames were one of the top teams in the league during that stretch. So what does that tell you?
If Elliot had given them at least average goaltending in the playoffs, I certainly don't think they would have been swept. He fell apart in the playoffs and was like a leaky faucet. Not putting all the blame on him, but it's pretty tough to win a series with the goaltending he gave the Flames

They basically lost 4 one goal games (EN goals aside)

Brian Elliott had a .880 save percentage

Average goal tending does more than prevent a sweep, average goal tending likely puts Calgary in the drivers seat

You make the mistake of thinking someone is coming on a rival fan forum and actually caring about changing the minds of fans to all of a sudden think that their rival team is actually amazing.

I mean think about it. Think about the ridiculousness of this whole thing on both sides. Is someone going to post some long rebuttal and then a light bulb is going to go on and he's just going to think his team is awful? Or is it more likely that he can post pretty much whatever he wants and then have a laugh while people get riled up and pour typed words into a bottomless hole.

The consistency of the events is actually pretty funny. Dude bats 1.000.

I make no such mistake. I know he's here trolling, I just like seeing his inane arguments put down. I also know that no rebuttal will change this. But purely from a bystander's point of view I like seeing his "points" demolished.
