Trump to make a test visit to the UK to prove he won't embarrass the queen.
President Trump will make a “dummy visit” to the United Kingdom this year, amid concerns that an official visit from the U.S. president could embarrass Queen Elizabeth, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

The trial visit, which will not include the traditional pomp and circumstance of an official visit, will include talks with Prime Minister Theresa May.

Trump will be invited by to the U.K. for an official visit only if the “dummy” run is a success, according to the British publication.

The trial trip is reportedly due to concerns that Trump’s boisterous and untraditional behavior could embarrass the queen.

Who does she think she is, the Queen?! Oh, right.

So it's not about principle then, just team politics. But wasn't Obama president at the time this was all going down???

Sounds like there was some chicanery afoot.

Okay, maybe they'll look into whatever it is you want them to look into in regards to Hillary.

But even if they do, shouldn't they maybe start with the person in power first who's actually running things and might be in cahoots with a foreign power?

Maybe leave the granny who's now just a civilian for now and focus on the current administration.

False Equivalence 101

False equivalence is a logical fallacy in which two opposing arguments appear to be logically equivalent when in fact they are not.

I didn't say that. You didn't ask if a certain action was right or wrong, you asked where the outrage was. There's been coverage of it (Fox has used to to try and distract from Trump's problems), but of course there isn't going to be the same level of attention as there is on actions of the sitting president, because almost nothing depends on the results of digging into the Clinton campaign. A very large amount rides on the outcome of the investigations into Trump.

The Republicans control all 3 branches of government. They've investigated Clinton how many times, 8? 10? They're not shy about doing it, if there was something to investigate they'd be investigating it. Who knows maybe she broke a campaign finance rule or law and the campaign finance people investigating that.

Instead Republicans are leading investigations into Trump.

Oh so she's just a helpless granny now, not some shady politician. Funny that's not how statutes of limitation work. This whole Russia narrative is hilarious, and if Trumps involved, it seems they all are which isn't in the least surprising.

Hillary should have to pay for her crimes, same with Trump if they both are guilty.

No one's stopping the DoJ from launching whatever investigations they deem worthwhile. There is a possibility that the "crimes" seen by frenzied reddit and 4chan denizens are little more than houses of cards constructed on wishful thinking.

In other news, the Senate is holding pro-forma sessions during the break. That means they'll never be in recess, they're doing this to prevent any recess appointments by Trump (for either if he fires Sessions and wants to put someone in who'll fire Mueller, or a new DHS secretary). I'm sure Trump appreciated that.

I was asking where the outrage was in this thread? If the issue is you really about a foreign government meddling in the US election, why isn't there a similar amount of outrage in regards to the Dems? Especially when this is suppose to be the scapegoat as to why Hillary lost......

They haven't really investigated Hillary yet, those emails and how she handled things was clearly criminal. Comey covered for her and he had to fall on his sword because of it.

Trump has been blowing it but that doesn't let the Dems off the hook though.

Yes, they should both pay for their crimes if they are guilty. Not sure exactly what crimes Hillary could be guilty of, but whatever.

My point is that if there is smoke with the current administration (and there seems to be a lot of smoke) it makes sense to me that you'd start with the people running the country versus one that isn't at all.

Yeah how much evidence is there of Trump and Russia collusion??? I haven't seen anything that isn't beyond conjecture, which would put it in the same category of conspiracy as your favourite "pizzagate".

But if the roles were reversed and Hillary was president, would you be tooting the same horn? There's also a ton of smoke with the Clintons and all of their shady dealings, but that get's overlooked for some reason.

She couldn't even fairly beat a 74 year old socialist for the party designation. The hypocrisy is thick!

How many times has the Trump tribe lied about contact with Russia?

Hillary?

Hillary Clinton had a very high position in the government and it makes total sense that she would have been in contact with foreign leaders over a number of issues.

Yes, if the roles were reversed and Hillary was president and was in bed with the Russians as much as Trump seems like he might have been/might be, they should be looking at her first.

One is the current president, one is not. The one who is running the country should be looked at now, not later.

Not sure what the problem is. If he's innocent then what's the issue?

Because a) there's little evidence that she did anything and b) it doesn't matter to anyone other than her. If she gets convicted of something it doesn't change anything at all, so no one cares other than her.

If Russia had meddled to try and get Clinton elected, maybe it'd be different. But they didn't.

Straw men are fun! No one says that's the reason she lost.

Russia's meddling is a factor, but it's impossible to say how great a factor. There were plenty of other factors.

Lol, Comey covered for Clinton? Comey's late statements about her emails are something where the effect could be measured, and her loss can be greatly attributed to Comey's actions.

He didn't fall on his sword for her, he got fired because Trump didn't like that Comey was investigating his campaign (Trump said this himself). Trump thought Dems would LIKE him firing Comey for what he'd said during the campaign (he's that dumb).

How she handled her emails was clearly not criminal.
