I'll guess either the Kings or Coyotes for Vegas. I would think that would be the forced rivalry that the NHL would want.

I think it'll be the Coyotes. LA has the other teams in Cali to be rivals with and the Yotes are the most likely team to get them out of the gates with a win. It'll be the Battle for Desert Supremacy or some such promotion.

well we can chalk down a 0-1 start at least

Didn't we start in Edmonton last season? Shouldn't the Flames start at home this year?

At least we won't have the two hour new arena preshow to wait though this year.

I'll just be happy if Smith doesn't allow 2 goals on his first two shots as a Flame.

Already anticipating the screw job by the officials. We started on the road to them last year. Maybe the league should have the Oilers start on the road in Calgary just to mix it up a little bit.

I am more excited to see Las Vegas' complete schedule. I want to know if I'm going to a game when I'm in Vegas this fall. For the first time ever I care more about another team's schedule than I do about the Flames' schedule.

So with Wideman gone who gets called for the Mcbutthead penalty shot in the opener this time?
And how many times is Gaudreau slashed, hooked and obstructed (with no call) in the moments leading up to it?
