Haha, he doesn't disappoint,as always, Though he didn't reference Mess or Slats or Gretz in this one. Dig at Flames (factually incorrect and all) for some reason, check. Getting some 3rd party (TSN director of scouting no less) to agree with him in some sort of feignt attempt to appear not so homeristic, check.

Dear Milan
Maybe you should look at the NHL explanation. You're slightly less then smart defenseman was the reason it was called back.
Since they couldn't read Kesler's mind that he might have been trying to escape from Nurse by using Talbot as leverage they had to call it a good goal.
Maybe after a year of the league's soft approach to your team and McDavid getting buttery soft calls in your favor the rosters have come home to poop on you.
Dear Conner
Outside of a few moments, you've been invisible, so your whole "Lets go" phrase to me isn't some heroic "Take this hill" or "What's the matter Marines do you want to live for ever" it meant "Lets go boys, the first round is on me in the bar"
Dear Terminal Todd
When your whole strategy is "Start Talbot" and "Let me get that gate for you Connor" you're being outcoached. Frankly Carlyle is playing you like a harp from hell.
Dear Darnell
Let me talk to you in your native language Deeeeerrr Naaarrgh Derp
Dear Milan
I'd write you, but you'd probably give the letter away by mistake, and we don't have time for you to skate 10 feet to pick it up, because man that would take forever
Dear Eb
The coeds called they have a spot in their annual pillow fight.

Yeah...for a guy that has been around as long as he has and has seen all he has seen, he just cannot contain the fanboy inside his soul.
At times he can be objective, but when it comes to anything Oilers, he has always always had trouble with objective thinking/journalistic integrity.

Yeah, going to go out on a limb here and say that 99.9% of the board doesn't play shinny with a 9 year old.

ZOMG WTF BBQ! I turned the game off late in the third and went to bed when it was 3-0 EDM. Even had a nightmare the Oilers were 1 win away from the cup.

Went to sleep at 3-0, best surprise this morning. Haven't stopped smiling since and don't think I'll be able to stop all day.

Valid question. Does an unbiased and objective media person/journalist even exist in Edmonton?

What I don't understand is how anyone thinks a player, while on the ice, can effectively hold open a goalie's legs. It's not like Kesler had the jaws of life to help him.

I am wondering how Kesler knew where the puck was going, I mean he's some kind of genius to be able to move the goalies pad in just the right way. I hate Kesler with a passion but that is not on him the guy is just trying to get up.

why is nobody talking about the 3rd oilers goal that clearly should have been blown down once Marooon hit perry in the face? poor oilers, always victims. they feel because they have 97, that they should be given everything.

Come on, it's not like Kesler isn't a smart hockey player. He knows any extra few inches between the pads makes a big difference.
Saw it on the initial replay and it looked like he knew exactly what he was doing. He was pushed in but made sure he couldn't get up. Still not enough evidence to over turn but let's not pretend poor Kesler just fell and he couldn't get up.

The tying goal was absolutely goalie interference. If that happened to the Flames, I'd be livid.
But shades of game 3, where the Flames had a 3 goal lead and 2 calls were blown. The magic high stick, and Corey interfering on the players bench while the Ducks score.
It's amazing how no team gets more controversial calls then the Ducks. Of that I am certain. Nice that the Oilers are finally getting a taste.

So, I missed the comeback last night, and only got around to watching it this morning. Before the panel had their chance to gush about this singular moment of sports leadership greatness I was quite certain from what I was seeing on the Oilers bench that this series is over. Seeing Draisaitl on the verge of tears and a dejected McDavid leaving the bench left me with the impression that they just lost their chance to win. They looked completely defeated to me.

The calls that went against the Flames in their series were definitely discussed on 960 and by local media but I don't recall anyone going nuts and blaming officials like what's happening with Edmonton media. It probably doesn't help that Ron MacLean is spearheading all this from HNIC but I fail to see how the officiating in this series is any worse than what the Flames had to endure.

I actually agree with the league on this call. I don't see that as interference. I think the Perry drive-by was much more complain worthy. Kesler got pushed down and in, Talbot sliding over got his pad hooked on Kesler's arm and Nurse didn't leave any room to get up. His left hand was on the end of his stick the whole time, he never "grabbed" Talbot's pad and did unlatch as he was trying for the puck. I guess he could have dropped his stick to release his hand from Talbot, but in a goal mouth scramble and a free puck that makes no sense. Plus we are talking about 2 seconds to make a decision here, slow motion replays are all well and good but it makes it seem like he had all the time in the world.
As a Flames fan if that happened to us I would be upset, but that's why we are called fanatics; but i think there have been far worse calls made than this one.

3rd goal was just a shining example of insufficient evidence to overturn the call on the ice.
Honestly, if the Flames scored that way, I would be pissed if it got called back. If we were scored on, I'm sure I wouldn't like it, but I think I'd accept it. It's a schmoz, #### happens.

A comment in the Talbot wife story - not normally one to pile on typos, but not sure how you get to all three of those typos...
