Trent Dilfer was right near the top of worst NFL analysts so letting him go is only a good thing. Werder more surprising, but ESPN has big budget issues right now and they were rumoured to be looking to heavily cut on-air personalities as opposed to technical staff.

Just because it's draft day, I want to give a shout out to Rick Spielman for giving up the 14th overall pick for Sam Bradford. Rick, you're a hero to all Eagles fans today.

With the NFL draft just hours away, Myles Garrett is still the likely pick for the Browns at No. 1.
Speculation over the last 24 hours, including some by Adam Schefter, has pointed to Mitch Trubisky being the top pick, but the Browns have continued to try to trade up into the top eight, presumably to draft Trubisky, and have indicated they're still set to take Garrett first overall.

taking Trubisky at 1 would be so Browns.
Hoping for Watt or Melifonwu at 30 for Pittsburgh.

Sirius NFL had on a big College guru (forgot his name) on this morning and he said he talked to every major college coach in regards to which quarterback they would want on their team to start the biggest game of the year. He said all of them were unanimous in Watson by a longshot. Interesting that he's kind of fallen out of favor lately as Trubisky, Mahomes, and even Kizer have been getting more positive press since the combine. One would tend to think that NFL scouts know better but only a few years ago Bortles, Bridgewater, and Manziel all went in the first round while Carr dropped to the 2nd round.

Watson threw 49mph at the combine ... history shows that almost nobody below 53 or 54 made an impact on the NFL. Now that doesn't mean Watson will be a bust, but a noodle arm like that would disturb me if I used a high pick on him.

Hey 20 minutes in and we have a contender for worst trade of all-time. This draft delivers. I'd be excited if I were a 49ers fan though, highway robbery.

Giving up that many picks to move up one spot, QB was the only position you can do that for.

Trubisky isn't the quarterback you do that for.

I keep thinking we're going to hit the breaking point for QBs, but nope. So I'll go ahead and predict this time next year Garropolo is the first QB to be making $30 million a season, because is it any less stupid than this trade or some of the other signings we've seen?

No disagreement from me there. I'm definitely not making that trade, steal for the 49ers. But you can't give up that many picks for any other position, especially when you shouldn't do it for the QB

I'd give up that many picks for any top player at his position. The Bears did it for a guy who is at best a second round talent that simply plays the position teams are most desperate for. Did no one watch the Cowboys last year? OLine is how you win in this league more than QB.

Trade makes no sense for Chicago.
You are trading up ONE spot. If that team was willing to trade down, they probably weren't going to draft the guy you wanted anyways. Why not just wait?

Solomon Thomas and three mid-rounds picks. Niners have already won the day.

The strangest part for the Bears is this has disaster written all over it, with a good chance the coach and GM will be fired before Trubisky ever plays a down. Puzzling to say the least. Worst part for the Bears is some QB taken in rounds 3-5 will probably end up being better, ideally a QB taken with one of the picks the 49ers acquired.
