It's actually making me infuriatingly mad watching all the quality goaltending in all these series, when I just watched my Flames get swept because every time a beach ball got lobbed in from the blue line or half wall it ended up in the back of our goddamn net.

That is true, but in back to back summers we stuck with an old goalie (first Hiller and then Elliott). I hope we don't go for another 30 something goalie to grow with our young team.

Is it not enough that the U.S. has monopolized this game of ours in the Bettman era? Based on TV deals, marketing campaigns, relocations of Canadian franchises, etc.?

We now want to see one of the two original Canadian teams lose on home ice in front of their die-hard fans?

I'd like to see the remaining teams eliminated in the most humiliating and soul crushing manner available. I mean an ending to their season that makes woman weep, children sob and men stoically turn to alcoholism.

If it wasn't for Bettman we wouldn't have teams in Edmonton and Calgary thanks to currency equalization funds and his crushing of the players union. He bought the Jets back even though they were going to put them in a puny barn with less the adequate suites. And what else is he suppossed to do, the US TV deal is to maximize revenue for the leagues health, or maybe he should have just kept the game as a pretty much Canadian league with American teams being ignored by the majors.

Frankly to heck with Ottawa, and Edmonton and Winnipeg and Toronto and Vancouver and Montreal. I won't cheer for them under some misguided concept that because they're Canadian teams they represent everything good and puppy like in the world".
