Can we just punt this guy already? He knows what he's doing, and is inspired by his success to keep coming back with more trolling comments. Yes, we can all report and hopefully are, but my lord, why waste any more time with this guy on this site? It's enough.

In all honesty, has a single call gone in Calgary's favour since the Wideman incident. I'd love to see statistics, as honestly, I can't recall a single time.

Up 4-1 and all the calls going our way. Hate that high stick all you want but it wasn't the difference.

Complete meltdown by Elliott, the high stick call was criminal but should have been goal#1.

But you just can't help feeling a deep sense of dread with how this game has turned out so far. Un-f---ing real.

I kind of agree with you.
In all fairness that call was complete BS, however they did get rattled and the Ducks turned it up.
When you depend on a younger core, getting rattled is going to happen. When a veteran team like the ducks gets a crack they blow it open and take advantage of it.
Of course I'm angry with the high stick goal. But at the end of the day, you have to take control of your destiny in the playoffs and the Flames didn't do that.

How do you figure? Elliott has been garbage on every shot tonight so we really don't know that.

Should be easy. Guys 6' tall. Contacts the puck at shoulder level so let's say that's at 5'. That's still ONE goddamn foot higher than the 48" crossbar

As soon as the team went into total prevent defence I got worried. Couple that with Elliott having a weak playoff so far in terms of softies and yuck.
Need to move their feet again and make smart moves with the puck.

Definitely not on the officials. Marginal call on the high stick goal. I think they just reverted to the call on the ice, if it had been no goal it wouldn't have changed.
This game is 100% on Brian Elliott. He is awful. I feel bad for the team who has played there guts out and put it all on the line and are victim of playing in front of a sieve.

I'm hanging last game, and this one, on Elliott. You can't give up bad goals in the playoffs over and over.

Why in the name of everything that is holy does the coach not call a timeout. Surely anyone with a brain can recognize a timeout was needed to reset and regroup.

The main problem with bringing Elliott to Calgary, The Flames have a 'curse' with Anaheim and they bring in a goalie who albeit has all the signs of being a grade A goaltender including the playoffs, but has a horrid record against the Ducks. Bad combo when a team that has a curse against another team brings in an awesome goalie that already has curse of his own with that team.
