Kings beating the Oilers tomorrow and laying down for us on Wednesday would be perfect.

But... Barkov is statistically all around the better player in the long run. Mackinnon is all around more talented.

I dunno, to me this game against the Avs was between a team that doesn't care anymore, and a team that wasn't giving it 100%. Engelland lead the Flames in ice time for crying out loud.

And the St Louis game was against a team that desperately needed the points more than we do, and the Flames still grinded out a win.

I get what you're saying, I just don't see it that way

Defintely cheering for the Kings tomorrow. I'd love to get home ice n the first round. Best the Sharks in our games and hopefully the oilers go on a bit of a losing streak. And I am pretty sure the flames would clinch with a win on Wednesday no matter what the result is tomorrow.

Really? That was a great game and playoff like play from both teams.

...Joe Colborne sounds so utterly crushed in this interview on the Fan 960. Can't help but feel bad for the guy (...as bad as you can for a professional athlete).

Indeed. Says he'll be cheering for the Flames in the playoffs, hopes they go on a long run. Attaboy Joe.

Man Colborne, talk about a bad season. After a stellar opening game, 1 point in 49 games. Wow. Feel bad for the guy. He was interview on the fan and spoke highly of the Flames, still has many good friends on the team, and will be cheering for the Flames in the playoffs.

Hopefully he can get away from that dumpster fire of a team and rekindle his career.

The Blues were 9-1 going into that game against us, playing lights out hockey. It was a tight checking game but we hung in with them and pulled it out.

The last sentence is a complete contradiction. The only reason it was close was because of Pickard's heroics.

We're 19-5-1 in the last 25. Your expectations that we need to dominate every game are not realistic.

Wow. That Ghetto Andrew guy has more points in an Avs uniform, 12 games, than Colborne does in the entire season

Really gonna love the 'Avs layed down for them' comments tonight from the coilers fans.

Which is constantly rich from the Oilers.

Remind me again which team in the entire League gets to play more tired teams on a back-to-back than any other team in the League?

Does it rhyme with 'Coilers?'

It does?

No way....

Someone started a Monahan vs. MacKinnon poll on HF. MacKinnon is winning easily.

I know people were mixed on Colborne here but he was a good team guy and did find his NHL feet here. IIRC the Flames offered a contract but he chased the biggest dollar he could get. Hindsights always 20/20 but I bet he'd happily leave a few hundred thousand on the table to have never made that move.
