So, just curious. We each end up with 4 names, so we could be cheering for up to 4 teams, or as few as 2? I assume we could also have 4 winners at the end?

Yeah, basically.

It's possible that we could each have at least one person still alive on the final leg, or someone could have one racer from each of the final three teams.

On the normal races, we always do two run throughs so that everyone has a chance at getting a "good" team to root for, rather than the last three or four people getting stuck with teams who appear to be duds (although, sometimes those duds surprise and go far).

I figured that doing it this way is the best way to replicate that idea and give everyone a decent chance at getting a couple of decent racers to root for over the long haul.

Just like with the regular drafts, each racer will be chosen by two different people and each drafter will have four racers on their chosen teams at the end.
