Sort of like how having the end-use health care services be a consumer market has helped keep prices competitive for hospital bills and other medical services?

Well thankfully Obamacare is finished, just like his legacy, and we will see if the Republicans can pass a Bill to help out families like mine find insurance that is affordable again.
The way I understand it is Insurance can be compared to Phone carriers. If we only had one or two options available then a monopoly is created and prices will remain high. When competition is introduced, prices decrease. In Obamacares case he was handing out free phones with free plans to people that don't work and making everyone else on the network pay for this.
Now before you get too excited about the special conditions of people that can't work because of illness or other special cases, the republicans have stated many times that they are going to take care of these people - which I believe they should.

Do you guys see what I'm talking about now? There are so many of these types here who don't care about anything but the false narrative they've been sold by Fox news that actual change regarding house and Senate won't happen. Even when the Republicans jack this up and screw them over they're going to blame Obama or libs and that's that.

You clearly don't understand it.
The ACA didn't eliminate insurers in the marketplace.
BTW- Canada is an example of a country that does have a monopoly on health insurance and our per capita costs are much lower than the US, both now and before the ACA.

Yeah...like they didn't have 8 years to figure out how to make it work. It isn't going to happen, if you believe that they give a crap about the sick and elderly after seeing Trumpcare...you are a special special person.
Trumpcare reinforces the profit motive up and down the healthcare supply chain...surprise surprise your costs go up. Throw in a sweet tax cut for the wealthiest too. You can't see that?
Generally the US has sub-par health outcomes and pay MORE public funds into healthcare that regions with public healthcare. Unless you are elite, the US system is a lemon. Trumpcare is just going to make a messed up system worse.
Listen to 'Unhealthy Numbers' and see if you don't agree...

If you are a fiscal conservative...you should be pushing for single payer and get the profit motive under control in healthcare.

How Trump Earned His Low Approval Rating
http://linkis.com/www.theatlantic.com/r2YTO
Part of Trump’s appeal was his assertion that he was a born winner who’d keep winning for Americans. So far, however, he has done a lot of losing.
Some Trump supporters are figuring out that recently proposed changes to health-care policy and the federal budget would be excellent for folks a lot richer than they are, but very hard on working class people who voted Trump.
Trump promised to “drain the swamp” - But rather than behave better, Trump has exploited the presidency to benefit himself and his family to an unprecedented degree.
Americans don’t want their country to be a laughingstock. Trump’s insistence on continuing to tweet, even now that he’s won the presidency, makes him a laughingstock.
I highlight those flaws, rather than the many policy grievances held by staunch Trump opponents, because they illustrate how Trump is failing even many of the people who cheered him on during the campaign.

Listen, you could be right. But lets all take a step back from the ledge and let this play out. I know we are all hoping that costs come way down and we keep people with pre existing conditions insured. I am staying positive that we are going to get a real replacement. I don't want to speculate on what may or may not happen. Let the man (Trump) and the Republicans run this bill through its process and then follow up with the 3 part plan Paul Ryan has talked about.

I've heard well-connected people reinforce that theory and the non-andriod phone manufacturer is keeping the brand out of the media.

What I don't get is that people like you are willing to let Trump urinate over the constitution in the name of keeping people safe from 'bad hombre's' who might launch a terrorist attack.
Yet then are willing to let him remove healthcare which will...100% certain...kill significant numbers of people (you yank out healthcare from 24 million and even if 0.001% die as a result you are talking 240 people).
240 people is almost twice the number that died in the Paris shootings...
So I can't figure out where you are in terms of the Consitution and general risk assessment.

How will the Republican health care act do that?
vouchers? selling across state lines? lol
The Republican health care act is moving money from the poor and middle class, to the rich, that's all.

How long will it take to put in place parts 2 and 3 - 3 years? 8?
What happens to all of the people who had their healthcare dropped as part of part 1 in the meantime?

So, I found a pretty interesting site with an archive of Trumps tweets.
http://www.trumptwitterarchive.com/archive
He's only mentioned Obama 2491 times

While I have no problem doing this as a Canadian outsider that isn't going to lose their insurance, why didn't you give the same leeway and trust to Obamacare? It's pretty clear from your posts that you've hated it since it was even a concept.
You cite a single increase from 2016 to 2017 that you have completely attributed to Obamacare (6 years after its implementation) as the reason for the fact that the entire program is a failure. It's weird to me.
