As I said Melania’s citizenship depended on a squeaky clean join tax filing in 2005. This is why Trump, in my humble opinion, leaked his own (partial) 2005 1040 form: It was the only year he was forced to play by the rules.

This was a clear attempt to game the US public and media, distract from all the other #### that’s going on, like the Health Care Bill fiasco, the Russia connections that are closing in and his insane unfounded claims of being ‘wiretapped’ by Obama. This also happens to make him look as awesome as possible to his base who are now happily crowing:

“Trump made $150 Million. Trump paid $38 million taxes” – where’s the downside?

Here’s the thing, if this was a ‘leak’ by a ‘concerned 3rd party’ there’s no way it would be so beneficial to Trump. It’s not like Trump isn’t historically famous for ‘leaking’ information about himself under fake name, see the Miller/Barron phone calls to journalists in the 80’s, that were in fact Trump himself.

Why this year? Why partial? Why now? Ask yourself, what are the circumstances that would lead someone to getting a only single year of taxes, likely the only year that makes him seem almost reasonable…and not the complete set of documents?

It’s also worth noting that the White House had a perfectly worded, grammatically correct statement with no typos out to the media BEFORE Maddow did her show – which has to be a first. The statement also confirmed the numbers BEFORE Maddows 9PM show where she aired them, up till then nobody knew what they were. As per below:

President Trump’s budget blueprint for the coming fiscal year would slash the Environmental Protection Agency by 31 percent and cut State Department spending by a similar amount in a brash upending of the government’s priorities, according to congressional staff members familiar with the plan.

The budget outline, to be unveiled on Thursday, is more of a broad political statement than a detailed plan for spending and taxation. But it represents Mr. Trump’s first real effort to translate his bold but vague campaign themes into the minutiae of governance. The president would funnel $54 billion in additional funding into defense programs, beef up immigration enforcement and significantly reduce the nondefense federal work force to further the “deconstruction of the administrative state,” in the words of Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon.

Yet for all its headline-grabbing bold strokes — and the White House claims that it will reset the process of Washington policy making — major elements of the plan have already been declared dead on arrival by the Republican leadership in Congress, and much of the fiscal fine print will be filled in by Capitol Hill lawmakers and their aides over the next month.

House appropriations subcommittees began reviewing the plan late Wednesday. Among the cuts: drastic reductions in the 60-year-old State Department Food for Peace Program, which sends food to poor countries hit by war or natural disasters, and the elimination of the Department of Transportation’s Essential Air Service program, which subsidizes flights to rural airports.

In addition to the cuts at the E.P.A. and the State Department, Mr. Trump’s team is expected to propose a wide array of cuts to public education, to transportation programs like Amtrak and to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, including the complete elimination of the $3 billion Community Development Block Grant program, which funds popular programs like Meals on Wheels, housing assistance and other community assistance efforts.

In recent years, far smaller proposed cuts to the popular grant program, which includes flexible funding for a variety of housing and community projects, created a bipartisan uproar that nearly scuttled the entire budget-making process.

People are going to get a rude awakening as they find out all the things the federal government does for them. Sure it's inefficient but the way to,efficiency isn't to cut things but to actually focus on how things run. What the government needs is a stellar lean six sigma team.

I think gutting the EPA is stupid as it will lead to bad things happening. I mentioned earlier though that I think most companies will continue on with what they do and being a responsible member of the community. It's important for companies to be viewed as ethical (see ethisphere.com for example). The other thing I didn't mention was for most international companies there is increasing pressure from Europe to meet strict HSE standards which they feel is part of being an ethical organization.

Over the past couple of years when we are audited by European companies they are looking heavily into our HSE records and if they aren't satisfied they will stop doing business with you. So at least there will remain some external pressures for companies to continue doing the right thing even as the GOP loosens regulations (likely) allowing them to pollute again.

But the National Institutes of Health would absorb a $5.8 billion cut despite Trump's talk in a recent address to Congress of finding "cures to the illnesses that have always plagued us."

What an idiot. My wife knows a big time Trump supporter who is critically ill and dependent on the NIH. Maybe this will hit home for her? Probably not. People are incredibly stupid.

Ive seen that happen, but companies that are involved with business dealings overseas can also rely on assistance from the State Dept... oh wait, thats getting cut too. Nevermind.

Some will, but most won't. A lot of the workers that are pumping toxins in streams, don't live in that area, and don't make the decisions. The owners of the company don't live in that area and could care less about the streams if it is making them money.

DONALD TRUMP: I had been reading about things. I read in -- I think it was January 20th, a New York Times article where they were talking about wiretapping. There was an article, I think they used that exact term. I read other things. I watched your friend Bret Baier the day previous, where he was talking about certain, very complex sets of things happening, and wiretapping. I said "Wait a minute, there's a lot of wiretapping being talked about." I have been seeing a lot of things.

He mentioned it, and other people mentioned it, but if you take a look at some of the things written about wiretapping and eavesdropping -- and don't forget, when I say "wiretap," those words were in quotes. That really covers -- because wiretapping is pretty old-fashioned stuff, but that really covers surveillance and many other things, and nobody ever talks about the fact that it was in quotes, that's a very important thing. But wiretap covers a lot of different things, I think you are going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks.
