Wasn't trying to start an argument, just asking you a question on a discussion board. The context of the discussion was confidence in the Flames' chances to make the play-offs. I like their odds, didn't see the need for "certainty".
As for the bet being foolish, yes, there are better ways to make money.

From HF OilersDel McPreston This won't be a wake-up call. This team has pissed points away before and still haven't figured out they have to give an actual effort to win. A crappy team coming on Tuesday and I expect another close game. McAsuno Letting the ****ing flames jump ahead of them in the standings, blowing into a wildcard spot, and not taking advantage of a home heavy month so far is down right pathetic of the Oilers.
