We had about 8 or 9 kids come.

Then again, we're out in the middle of a half-finished area of Elbow Valley.

Well, in my little town we ended up having around 60-70 kids. Last year we had about 40 or 50, so we thought we had lots of candy to hand out.

Alas, we ran out...........no chocolate leftovers for me this year. Not happy.

Gotta make a mental note for next year to buy much, much more than we need.

Had a whopping 9 tonight, but we're on a weird street in Hillhurst. Then again, back in Hawkwood suburbia, we only had 15 the last year I was there.

Definately less of a thing for kids now. Damn Gen Z's or whatever - won't even walk around for free candy....

What's the deal with Unicef? I had read the boxes were over, but this girl had a cloth bag that looked legit, kind of what you'd get at a conference or a bookstore.

We had around 85 kids come to our door here in Langdon. I was being pretty generous with the handouts at first, but came close to running out near the end.

Lots of young families out here. Reminds me a lot of growing up in a young community in Calgary. Halloween is still alive and well out here.

I'd guess that they buy 'em with the proceeds going to Unicef? Saw a couple of 'em too.

I was stuck studying for a midterm and was worried that i'd be answering the doorbell constantly..... but I've had 7 kids come by so far.

Now maybe it's the cold... but I remember going trick or treating and easily coming home with 3 pillow bags of candy. The lack of kids is sad actually

Yeah, I don't know what happened. Seems every year it's freezing on halloween lately. or maybe just didn't notice the cold as a kid. I used to bring home half a garbage bag home.

All Halloween candy left over in the stores is half off tomorrow or it should be. Keep an eye out and you can stock up for yourself for cheap!

I took four kids out tonight. It was REALLY cold. They'd do a block, then come and warm up in the car for a few minutes then head back out. They did quite well tonight actually. I figure the weather kept other kids in and that's why mine did so well.

My neice was Superman, nephew a crazy hobo, my youngest was an evil fairy and my oldest was a vampire countess. They also have mastered the fine art of trick or treating under my tutledge and their voices were loud and clear with an excellent repetoire of songs if required. Nobody asked. What's with that?

Well, I for one wasn't going to stand there with the door open and let the cold air in any longer than necessary. Otherwise I'da made 'em do the ol' softshoe and juggling routine.

Reggie, your little baggies are great!

We didn't have many kids in this neck of the woods either, but a few interesting costumes: Borat, a Tonka truck (looked amazing!), and a bottle of Pepto Bismol.

I really love Halloween. It's great to see family and friends together as they take their kids trick or treating. The whole experience warms my heart!

Who knows, maybe I've had too much candy too...

Man Reg that is an impressive haul you're giving out. Not just quantity but generally quality - York peppermint paddies, Hershey's, Swedish Berries.

My only beef would be no rockets. Dump the nibs next year and toss in some of those.

###. There is no candy like Rockets. You can actually buy them year round at the Shopper's Drug Mart in TD Square. Thank God. I think if I had to wait until Halloween every year to get my sugar high, I'd freak out.

Yes the black ones are indeed pure evil. The red ones though are still pretty grody.

I can't even stand the smell of nibs to be honest. When I'm at the movie theatre and someone cracks open a bag of them......ick.
