Bad ownership.

...that being said, yeah the GM is no good.
Yeah Kronke is probably the most hated owner in all of sports, and potentially one of the worst.

Avalanche fans don't like him or his recent moves.

Nuggets fans don't really like him.

He moved the Rams from St.Louis to L.a.

Arsenal fans hate that they are owned by an American who runs the team like a business and doesn't let them spend freely.

Agree.

Conroy would've talked him into coming.

We really have no idea though. If 28 teams in the league offered nothing or Iginla refused to go to several of them, not really much Avs management could do. Better to dump some salary and do a player a solid than to just sit on him out of spite.

He probably did and saw the Kings at least have a chance to make the playoffs. I doubt there were many teams wanting him.

And/or Iggy had no interest in coming back. I believe both parties are fine with never being united pre-retirement.

I think LA makes it ahead of St. Louis but that's just me.

Don't get why everyone is so upset he went to LA, it's not like he went to Vancouver or Edmonton. I'm glad the Flames stayed away though. Just didn't like the fit here. Wish him well in LA, if they make it I'll cheer for them (if the Flames are out).

I'm sure Lombardi would too.

Just kind of funny how his two moves are both guys that the Flames *may* have been interested in.

Kings seem done though. I guess they have to make moves to keep up appearances. No playoff team must have wanted Iggy is my guess.

Gives us 2 more opportunities to see Iggy back in the dome. For my part, seeing him and Sutter on the same bench, with Gelinas next door and Conroy upstairs fulfills my nostalgic needs.

If the Flames didn't have interest (and judging by the price, they didn't), I imagine it's because Tre didn't feel that it could work in the room. This is a fair argument but it disappoints me.

A 39 year old, washed up, end of career Iginla is still better than Brouwer and Chiasson and I fully expect him to score more points from now until the end of the season than both of them.

Everyone is assuming that Iginla actually wanted to come back here.

It's quite possible that if the choice was L.A with Sutter, or Calgary, that Iginla probably picked L.A.

This sucks. We're going to single handedly ruin his playoff hopes.

I doubt Iggy wanted the pressure of coming back here...if he came in and the Flames finished ninth it wouldn't go over too well
