That't a sweet trick, turning Hamilton into Giordano!

Fuzz - "He didn't speak to the media before the election, either."
The chemistry between Ferly, Johnny and Monahan reminds of the chemistry they had with Jiri. Except now Jiri put on his Hulk pants and is going to smash everything in sight.
...looks good. Looks real good.

Amazing how much better the top lines look without Chiasson. Team has been on a role since Gulutzan stapled him to the 4th line. I feel he's a good 4th line player but having him play almost half the season on the top line clearly was a bad call. I hope his spot on the 4th line is permanent.

Flames really needed Ferland to take a big step. You could see that he had offensive abilities in how he handled the puck, and he had a nice shot but always seemed to not do much with it. Ferland has seemed to take a big step this season (especially lately) and that is the exact type of player that the top line needed.
Great on the forecheck, good speed, hard on the puck and wins a lot of puck battles, able to make solid skilled passes and has a good shot, and can also drop the mitts and really fight. That is the exact perfect compliment to that top line.
Really great to see everyone really responding on the team now. Who can we say is playing poorly? I would hope that Brouwer steps up a bit more, but even he hasn't been doing 'bad'. Bartkowski isn't impressing me much, but he is also fairly new and I hope he just starts improving - but there are 3 or 4 defencemen that can be rotated into that spot anyways.
Gulutzan has this team focused and working hard, and that is the job of a coach. When you see the team responding and every line and defensive pairing getting the job done, you know the coach is the right fit. I had some very big doubts based on how many players just weren't doing well, but it appears things are definitely smoothed out. Hopefully they continue their strong play down the stretch.
Oh, and FU Oilers - everyone is coming for you twerps.

There's a monitor in front of Rog and the player so that they know when the Sportsnet desk has thrown to them for the interview. But it's below the camera, so usually they're looking at the camera and not the monitor.
To me it's pretty obvious that Ferland should get an assist on Johnny's first, and that Johnnys second was tipped by Ferland.
No only McDavid gets those cheap assists. The puck was on the stick of the Canes player and he shot it back (had control) to Gaudreau. That's an unassisted goal.
And Ferland didn't touch Gaudreau's second goal. It went off the defenseman.
Just watched the game and the line of Gaudreau, Monahan and Ferland were buzzing all game long and could have scored 3 or 4 more goals. They were dominant.
I was so frustrated that Chaisson was giving all the time in the world on the top line and power play time. Prior to his benching and demotion to the fourth line, he was 15th on the team with 15 points. Stajan and Ferland were ahead of him along with Giordano, Hamilton, Brodie and Wideman.
