If I stop hating GG, the Flames will start losing, thus I will continue to hate.

The team does look really good though. Amazing what actual NHL calibre goaltending does.

The oilers have to be worried.

So I have an embarrassing question but I've seen this joke so much that I feel sad for missing out. What's this about Eddie Lack's dad? I know it came from the commentary during the Canucks playoff series but I missed that game.

I think they cut away to Lack's dad something like 13 times during the 2nd game. It was ridiculous.

I think that this is utterly baseless and impossible to know one way or the other. Rather than forming my own opinions on feeble conjectures I prefer to weigh them against results. Gulutzen is getting results.

With about 6:00 left in the game the Flames iced it three times in a row in about 15 seconds. Bennett won all three face offs. I loved that.

The thing I don't like about the system is how passive the blue line is in the offensive zone. So many chances to jump into the slot on the cycle are passed up for point shots. Great for guys like Hamilton but not so much for Brodie or Gio. The Penguins won it all last year with Letang, Schultz, Daley etc being bigger threats than Gully has Gio/Brodie being.

Oh and Nashville scores! I smell a oilers collapse in the next twenty games.
They've been riding a good Cam Talbot for most of the season, but today he matches his number of games from last year and plays the most minutes he ever has. With 20 games to go, and him needing to start maybe 17 of them, is he up for it? From the last few games it seems like fatigue might be seeping in and that could absolutely mean a late season collapse with Brossoit as the backup.

PS - Love the avatar.

It actually hit him somewhere between his neck and his left shoulder blade. Stajan has been awesome.

That Stajan save may have been the turning point as after that it was all Flames outside of the beginning of the 3rd period where they were in a bit too much of a shell.

Very similar to the play that put Langkow out of action for an extended period of time a few years ago.
