I think that Kane has probably priced himself out of Calgary. Risky to give up top prospect and high picks for a guy with his history

I also just don't like it. If people are concerned about Iggy's speed (which is silly), they should watch Vrbata. They play at nearly the same pace, which I'd say is more than comparable to Versteeg/Brouwer.

Evander didn't want to play in Winnipeg, what makes Calgary any better? Although Buffalo probably falls under the same category in terms of "desirable destination".

He also has playoff related bonuses.

$250k if his team makes the playoffs and $250k for each round of the playoffs his team plays in.

For a team like the Flames who have used their LTIR cap space and will have bonus overages (barring moving significant salary out), that is up to $1.25 million that will be charged to next year's cap.

It's almost like he is signed for next year.

Wills has been on this train all week. I don't get it or see how Vrbata helps up. I think the morning show had it right:

I don't think Evander Kane is going to convince Johnny to start beating waitresses at Cowboys.

If you're worried about drugs, I don't think Evander Kane is going to convince Johnny to do anymore drugs than he wants too.

They're millionaire local celebs in their early 20's. They've all been exposed to the same situations. Some just handle it better than others.
