Which is nice, because the mood on here after that game had me thinking a few people weren't going to make it through that night.
That game sucked, but nice to see the team moved on from it and it wasn't the end of the world.

Im usually all on board with you dino, but name me a player that would bring more passion grit and detemination to this team than iggy. I have watched a few games this year and iggy still gives a dam no matter the score or what his team is doing. He has more in the tank then he gets credit for.

I'm not comfortable with the goaltending yet, but I don't want the 3 goalie monster again. I also don't believe the issue is the goalies, bringing in another is a crapshoot too with so little time to adjust to a new defence with 2 brand new defencemen.

Im an east coaster habs fan who grew on the flames as an adopted fan the last few years living out here...I have no emotional attachment to Iginila but I understand the nostalgic feelings of an Iginla return for die hard fans. I think it would be a mistake unless you (and he is fine) with riding the 4th line minutes. It is not what this team needs

I hundred percent agree. realistically we get bounced in the first round. But for this team to grow with this young core I think it's important that we are there. I think elliott gets us there now. If we trade for Bishop I wonder if they could swing elliott in the deal as well. Only way I see it working. 3 headed monster wouldnt work as the goaltending situation is already foggy

Just noticed the flames are 7 - 2 - 1 in the last ten. That's the best record in the west in past ten and behind only Florida who leads the league at 8 - 2 in the past ten. Should be a doozie tomorrow.

Problem is Chiasson and Brouwer are borderline useless as of late.
Iginla couldn't be much worse in a bottom six RW role at even strength, and I'd definitely take him and his shot over Brouwer on the PP right now.
I'm fine if it doesn't happen, but Iginla's stats this year (just like everyone on his team) is effected by the tire fire that is Colorado.
I think with the sentiment boost and his shot, he'd be an upgrade over Chiasson and could help the power play.

The Flames are likely to draw one of SJ or Minnesota in the playoffs if they make it. Calgary is 2-1 v the Sharks and 3-0 v. the Wild on the season: realistically, they could actually beat either team in a seven game series.
