Had to happen. He was able to be sent down without waivers IIRC. It doesn't mean he won't be back in the future.

So much for needing more jam. This is one of the more frustrating periods I've witnessed as a Flames fan. Management just doesn't seem to believe half the stuff they themselves say.

It was the only move they could make if they want Stone to play tonight, everyone else requires waivers.

Or, you know, this is about asset management. Do we want another Paul Byron situation for everyone to bitch about?

Don't see the problem in that. If someone wants Bouma or Hamilton then they can have them.

Sure, but waivers still would require 24 hrs before they could be sent down.
Hence Hamilton.

Likely see someone on waivers tomorrow. He will be back.

Yah, that's great asset management. Even if the risk is low, both players might have some value, why give them away for free.

Wouldn't that actually be poor asset management? I'd rather have anything back in a trade rather than just waiver wire funds.

Besides, after the trade deadline I believe that Hathaway can come back due to expanded rosters.

Would've rather have seen Chiasson waived, but maybe another player is still to be waived tomorrow to have Hathaway come back since he didn't need to clear.

You never know, somehow losing Byron got a stick up peoples butts. No reason to believe losing Hamilton wouldn't................he may actually play a stretch of great games 4 years from now, and if so, look out around here.
