Her father-in-law, Amway founder Richard DeVos Sr., twice served as president, most recently from 1990 to 1993. And she and her husband have given money to the council as recently as 2007 through their family foundation, according to federal tax records.

Just wanted to see if I could figure out how to post this with the cyrillic characters.
I think (maybe hope) Republicans are getting concerned that the Яэplublican tag might become a permanent stain on the party previously assumed to be the home of patriots. Don't around 20 or 25% of Americans still think that Obama is a Kenyan socialist? IMO Яэplublican Pяэsidэnt Tяump is more rooted in reality and has the possibility of permanently tainting the republican brand.
Does Mitch "Party over Country" McConnell want to risk that? Do they throw Tяump under the bus to save the party? Is it already too late?
We do live in interesting times.

The sitting President in a position of utmost power and influence consistently tweets negatively about on-going businesses such as the New York Times, calling them failing, etc.. Isn't there some tort for that? Can't they sue him for libel or damages or is he immune? Can the sitting POTUS just slander publically traded companies at will?

You don't corner desperate rats. A great majority of his voters are already socio-economically depressed and voted for him because they claimed he would bring back manufacturing and coal, etc. to poor rural white folks. You need the Bernie Sanders approach of economic inclusion and hope. Hillary made the mistake of just telling these folks that their industries and livelihoods were gone forever without giving them a solution.

Well, Trump did promise to 'Open up those libel laws' to make it much easier to sue for libel or slander. I'm really hoping he pushes ahead with that and then gets sued under his own revisions to those laws.
